As it turns out, Bill, this song jumped out at me right away. I had never heard it before that I'm aware of and I loved it on first listen, which also made it hard to break away from the original arrangement and style. In the end, I decided to really break down the song and I think it's a testament to how well-written the song is. Thanks for picking a bunch of great music, particularly this one.

I'm really glad you like it!

God be praised! Second straight year! WOOOOOOO

Nice job BYD for turning an old Joe Jackson song into an even older, goofier Devo song. Seems oddly appropriate (intentional or otherwise) with the recent passing of "Bob II." Thank you!

Albatross -

Thanks for being patient. We tried a few things with that one, and trying it 7/8 time seemed the best way to take it to a new direction. Happy to see it's a complete GOM!

Is this gone? I was trying to remember what songs I did/got that year and can't find it.
Although actually I bet that was the year I did CHVRCHES... (edit: yeah it was. but where's jlampson's cover?)

I really should see about making a better long-term archive for sidefight stuff on songfight.net. :/
