I was interested in running an Original Flava, myself, and was totally going to post a thread yesterday but forgot.

Depeche Mode has always been a pack of talentless eurotrash posers who think that droning in an apathetic monotone is the same thing as singing, and that hitting a button on a sequencer is the same as composing.

So yeah, I'm in. How does this work? Do we call dibs on songs, or do we just cover whichever song we want and then submit it?

Niveous?

Is it free for all or do we call dibs on songs?

Just so that we spread the wealth and don't end up with 6 covers of Enjoy the Silence, I think we should call dibs.

Yeah, I don't think I have them anymore - certainly not on my website anywhere - I may have my cover of 'Bigmouth' - other than that, it's go to the original coverers (as it were) ....

Oh, I'm undecided - New Life, Question of Time, Blasphemous Rumours, Enjoy the Silence, Strangelove ... If someone else really wants one of these, the only one I will not give up is BR.

I'll do "Enjoy the Silence". But I'm willing to pick a different song if somebody else really wants that one.

Do we have a deadline? I tend to procrastinate if I don't have a deadline.

I really don't like Deretch Mode. At all.

Having said that, there was one song of theirs I kinda liked, called "Now This Is Fun." It was a B-side from the Broken Frame era. So I will tentatively claim that one, although I need to do my long overdue GoM song first.
