NaNoWriMo [National Novel Writing Month] starts today. If you've ever wanted to write a 50,000 word rough draft of a novel, this is a great time to try. Thousands of people have already started. The focus is on quantity of words, consistently writing 1667 words per day [or more].

I've always wanted to do NaNoWriMo in November and then make a concept album based on the book the following February.

I tried it the last two ... no, three years, but never finished anything close to 50k. I did get a nice novella out of the first year but failed miserably the next two.
This year I just didn't even get started. I find FAWM to be more doable.

I signed up for this challenge a few years ago but I've never managed to get started on anything concrete, really.

Does anyone from the SongFight community get involved with the musical version? I'm attempting a fully electronic album this month, because... well, why not?

Huh, never heard of NaSoAlMo. Definitely sounds like something folks here would be into. I know there are lots of FAWMers here.
