Are there any differences between the 3DS and DS version of that game? I already have a DS but wouldn't mind an upgrade if the reasons are compelling enough (but the reason I haven't gotten the game yet is because I don't want to get the DS version if it turns out the 3DS version is so much better).

But yeah that show has amazing music and the game follows on that tradition. I also love how often the animators themselves record rough tracks and those end up becoming what's used in the real thing (which is why there's a squeaky chair and keyboard clacking in the show's theme song, and why I Remember You uses Rebecca Sugar's original amazing Omnichord backing track, and so on).

[EDIT] Never mind, finally stopped making excuses and ordered a used 3DS and a used copy of the 3DS version.

No differences really between the two versions. In fact, when playing it on the 3DS, I often turned off the 3D. It's a fun little game. I'm 55% done with it (I don't get to play it much). It's mostly platform and fight until you reach this character who will give you this object that was needed to this character now platform and fight your way back. But it's full of Adventure Time charm and humor and Biblob's appearance is pretty awesome.

Yeah I mostly decided to go with the 3DS version because a few folks mentioned that it made use of the higher-resolution screen, and it was actually cheaper used than the DS version.

Their other show, Bravest Warriors, is also pretty awesome.

I am a big fan of David OReilly's work, especially his brilliant (but disturbing) short films Please Say Something and The External World.

When I found out he was doing an episode of Adventure Time I was excited, but cautious, because I figured it would just be in his visual style but toned down for the kids.

I was not expecting it to be one of his most brilliantly disturbing animations ever.

Holy. Crap.

Whoever at Cartoon Network greenlit that is my hero.

Just chiming in here to say that I have been going through season 1 of this show and am finding it pretty entertaining indeed.

Although sometimes I miss out on important plot points because I'm too busy looking for that blasted SNAIL...

So, Adventure Time finally ended a few days ago. The ending was really good although I'm not a fan of what the show had to go through to get there.

But seen as a show about growing up and learning to change it's pretty darn good.
