Do I really have to stand up to be counted? I'm kind of lazy

Post by JohnH »

If I can sit down and be counted, then count me in.

My name is John, and I'm posting here to get some honest feedback on songs. While my friends may like what I do, I feel it's good to get other people's unbiased opinions. Plus, the idea of everyone making their own version of a title is intriguing. I feel my take on "Right There At The Edge" might be a little different than others, but we'll see.

Also, in hindsight I realized that I wrote the song as "Right There On The Edge". I realllllly hope that's okay. I promise the word usage makes no difference in the song.

tl;dr == Hi. :D

Sorry about that title problem, JohnH. You're fucked.

As they say, "Wap wahhhh."

Some editing tomorrow, and I'll send rtate... not rtote. Thanks for telling me now, at least. I saw someone's post say "on the edge" and it just stuck in my head. No biggie.

These are the jokes, dude. Don't worry about it. I see you already sent it. I would spend the extra time making it better, regardless of the exactitude of the title. Do a couple more takes. Mess around with the mix. Whatever it takes. Might as well use the time wisely.

I was kinda hoping you were kidding there, to be honest. Awesome.

I'll do some "clean up" work with it tomorrow, and am excited for the 11th. Now to go wash the gullible off my face.

If your production is good enough, nobody will notice that the title doesn't match.

Welcome and enjoy your stay. It's fun once you get past the first few embarrassing entries.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Thanks Manhatten! That's what I'm hoping for, and even to have fun with the embarrassing ones.

And Caravan, as long as it doesn't sound like my song and the production quality are actually fighting themselves then I'm hoping I'll be fine.

Shit, we're supposed to write songs that match the TITLE now?

Thank you for explaining my joke. I'm not sure I'd have gotten it otherwise.
