I am chilling in my overpriced (thanks, Crossfit) hotel room. Anyone have any plans for tomorrow (Thursday)?

I’m assuming it’ll be a low key day as people arrive and settle in and are tired from traveling, but I don’t know yet. You’re welcome to hang out at my place while that crystallizes.

I'm pretty sure this already got discussed but I have searched for a few minutes and for whatever reason can't find it, so sorry to be "that guy". The FB events I think I set up as 8-11PM as a placeholder but what are our "real" start and stop times? Is it actually 8-11PM or something else?

We should probably start by 8:30ish since the FB event starts at 8, and I think we can go till 1 or 2--most shows start around 10 and end by 1, according to the booker. Bar time is around 2.

Is that cross-fit thing a national thing? I just saw a huge bus outside the local cross-fit gym... looks like they're going on a little trip... ;)

Not surprisingly we had a bunch of crossfitters on our plane from San Francisco. The woman sitting across the aisle was using some kind of electrical muscle stimulator even!

The lobby of my hotel was full of CrossFit folks this morning. Wearing the muscle shirts and hats and everything.

The wifi here seems pretty stable, so the stream will be at https://twitch.tv/fluffycritter starting at around 8 PM CDT. (That's in just over an hour!)

Geat sets y’all. Really enjoyed fluffy with the full band! Lunkhead played my favorite ‘Dirty Chucks’ which made my evening. I would love to rock with Pigfarmer someday. Stream was choppy in places, looking forward to seeing the full sets in IMAX.

Wish I could have been there.

Yeah the bar wifi was pretty unstable. :( I ended up reducing the bitrate about halfway through which seemed to help although OBS says there were still a lot of dropped frames. Still, we have plenty of recordings for later.

NICE JOB EVERYONE! (If you didn't play, nice job showing up!!!)

Plans for tomorrow? Brunch? Boats? Bikes? State Street wandering, visit the Union Terrace, axe throwing, museum?

I definitely suggest the farmer's market for anyone who hasn't been there before!

The children's museum or zoo would probably be fun for Gregory.

Pepper Jane is getting in around 2:15 pm and we will need to rendezvous so I'll need to be around this area.

Oh! And I really wanted to go to the Garver Feed Mill that just opened last week, it's a sort of public food market with a bunch of food stalls near the bike path behind Olbrich Botanical Gardens.

gah it turns out the day 1 twitch stream had a weird audio issue where even though everything was set to 44KHz it's playing back as if the audio's at 48KHz, which makes it both stutter a lot and it's pitched up by 9%. Hopefully the recordings Ken made will be good. (Not that the video was very good in mine anyway since I was using a cheap webcam.)

Tomorrow night's stream should be better at least.

So that's what was going on.
I watched the Lunkhead set, he has a voice I know really well. I was baffled by the pitch shift. Was he sick? Having fun with a vocal synth?
Now it all makes sense.
Thanks for explaining that.

Yeah. I can try to repair the audio but it’s more likely that we’ll have to wait for the proper recordings Ken made for you to put on YouTube.

Tonight I’ll definitely make sure everything agrees about sample rate so I can provide adequate live fight audio.
