Re: Song Fight Live! 2012, Seattle, July 13-15
I definitely can't afford to fly there for this, but I might be able to tour to Seattle by the time this happens. It depends on how much work I get done in the immediate future. Put me down as a definite maybe.

Ah, but will you be on the roster, or in the audience? Inquiring minds want to know? Like me. I have plans to make...

If it helps we can get everyone to slow their brains down to half-speed so that you sound twice as fast.Spud wrote:Ah, but will you be on the roster, or in the audience? Inquiring minds want to know? Like me. I have plans to make...

Re: Song Fight Live! 2012, Seattle, July 13-15
So, I have trolled the crap out of previous posts on past years' live events, and I gather sidefight stuff is ok...? Looking through what we have, it turns out all our good material was in the sidefights. I'm not looking forward to having to write new stuff for titles before Seattle so that we can come up with a set list.

Probably audience only. Someday I will have the courage to perform live, and that could even be for this, but since you have plans to make, I can't guarantee it.Spud wrote:Ah, but will you be on the roster, or in the audience? Inquiring minds want to know? Like me. I have plans to make...

Oh, we will be in on the live fight title, make no mistake about that. There's just not enough good material in our repertoire without digging into sidefight stuff.

Irwin mentioned that Kasper will be there - I'm the other half of Kasper, so I'll be there too.

Erin and I bought our tickets. We're going to be in town Wednesday through Monday, I think (or was it till Tuesday?). Something like that anyway. Yay! I'm very excited. I don't know if I've been back to Seattle since the 2008 West Coast Tour. So long ago! I can't wait.

Oh yeah, I should buy tickets too. Where do I want to stay? Hotel in downtown something something?
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Downtown is very central to Seattle's public transit system...you can get just about anywhere from there. Staying right in the downtown core can get pricey, but (like anywhere), you can find stuff if you look. I suppose it might also depend on where the gigs are going to be.
