Several people have asked me about scheduling. Why not either set up a Google Doc, or a thread here on the board? It kind of sucks to be in an unfamiliar town (and possibly without reliable transportation), and not know critical details like when you're supposed to show up for something, or how long you'll be waiting.

And please sign me up for 11am through noon on Friday. :-)

A thread to schedule rehearsals would be super awesome, and huge thanks for offering up your space and your time. It's really nice of you and much appreciated. Hopefully just 2-3 hours each day should cover folks' needs.

You mean the live fight? The title is "Come and Take It." Spud posted it last night. :)

Looks like Texas is taking mercy upon the visitors. The highs over the weekend will be lower than in recent weeks, most reports saying we'll have about 99 degrees Farenheit on Friday, dropping a couple of degrees throughout the weekend. The lows will be in the high 70s. Chance of rain is unlikely, so dress for warm weather, including sunscreen and shades!

And the first of our visitors has arrived! I'm told that Mike (InevitableGuy) and his girlfriend have landed safely in Austin. They're grabbing some dinner while I go to my martial arts class, and then we're meeting up in South Austin later for some drinks. We'll take pictures. :)

Pretty much all day tomorrow, I'll be around my house, cleaning up, prepping stuff for the show, and rehearsing. If anyone wants to hang out, just let me know.

My number, for anyone who doesn't have it, is... Five one two, seven seven one, sixty-seven sixty. Call or text when you get in!

I'll be there tomorrow around 6pm, equipped with a Guild acoustic. I'll be needing phone numbers and addresses ahead of time, as I may not have a cell phone with me.

As sort of a pilot for the live stream tonight, I'm streaming the rehearals.

http://youtu.be/GfB_EGGd1TA

Check it out, and let me know if the sound is acceptable.

EDIT: We hit some kind of time limit, so I killed it and started again. The New URL is here: http://youtu.be/nrgcHy0FucI

Your absence is felt and noted. You can always watch the live stream later, as it will be kept in YouTube effectively forever.

We hit some kind of technical limitation or time limit, and it killed the feed. I just set up a new one, and we're good to go. Here's the new URL: http://youtu.be/nrgcHy0FucI

Aw, man, I forgot to apply "Studio Mode" to the second hangout, so the audio is all sucky. Sorry about that, folks. It'll sound better than that tonight, I promise!

There's a limit to the length of live streams on Youtube, so I've split it into two. The link for the second part of tonight's show is here: http://youtu.be/ddvkeAdy8lo

Our sound man was playing music over the PA, so I had to mute, because Google aggressively shuts down streams with copyrighted music.

I did use the wrong audio mode again, so most of Niveous' set probably sounds a little artifact-y. I've just corrected the problem.

Thank you to everyone who helped make tonight's show so incredible! Thank you to roymond for providing the webcam for live streaming, to everyone who brought cameras, to Kick Butt for providing such a high-quality venue, to everyone who played, and especially to WreckdoM for being the highest-energy headliner I've ever seen at a Song Fight Live show.

Now let's do it again tomorrow!!!

Hey guys,

Before WreckdoM went on, I made an announcement about getting breakfast tacos at Torchy's tomorrow morning... Then I remembered that I'm practicing with John, Jeff, and Frank tomorrow at 10am. So Allyson and I are going to head to the Torchy's on Burnet Rd at 9am tomorrow. That may be too early for some of y'all, so I understand if turnout is low.

See you all at tomorrow's show, if not sooner!

I apologize if, in my drunken state, I offended, assaulted, or in any way diminished the quality of their evening last night. Thanks to the Wreckdom clan for putting me up, and thanks to Jon for organizing a great show. It was great to see you all.
