Man, I am certainly looking forward Michael Angelo. I have no idea what to expect from him, but I sincerely hope he's got his quad guitar with him.

Didn't half of his quad guitar get stolen?

As long as he brings his Double-Guitar. Most of the video is typical Michael Angelo shredding, but I really like the stuff he does starting at 2:19.

I did hear something about that guitar being stolen, but that was a long time ago, so I was hoping that he maybe had a new one. Either way, it will be both ridiculous and awesome to see him live.

This looks like a grand thread. I figured I would do my part to increase the grandeur.

By grand, I meant:

1. Of large size or extent; great; extensive; hence,
relatively great; greatest; chief; principal; as, a grand
mountain; a grand army; a grand mistake. "Our grand foe,
Satan." --Milton.
[1913 Webster]

I like the "grand mistake" part, particularly with the "my shame" post Reïst made early on in this thread.

Every time I see this thread title, "Fiend" by Coal Chamber starts playing in my head. And then I always wonder if Easy D is any relation to Easy E.

That would only make sense if EMO were pronounced "EEMYO"

Which it isn't - so that is just makes no sense at all.

I don't think it was intended to be a homonym-type pun.

Chadderandom, I think your profile picture is a little disturbing. What is it actually supposed to be?

Every time I see it, it reminds me of a hamster wearing bondage gear.

Wikipedia calls this type a 'homographic' pun, in that it exploits the visual similarity of words. Such puns are huge in Japanese and Chinese.

When I was in Junior High School, a kid got sent home when he showed up in a shirt with "BULL SHIRT" written in big letters on the front. Is that one of these homographic puns?

Yes.

I'm not sure where "cook my sock" fits into the etymology. Probably a spoonerism.
