Here's something that hasn't come up before: if the title and challenge help to complete an old, incomplete song, does that fall in with the ethos of Nur Ein? It's not like anyone would know, but I like to be honest about these things.

The spirit of the Ein is to write and record a song within a week. I don't mind if you don't do that; after all, if anyone took an old song of theirs and adapted it to the challenge without telling the judges about it, how could we know? Wouldn't do it myself as it would feel too much like self betrayal, but I won't hold it against anyone who does.

Sure, use the title and challenge help to complete an old, incomplete song.

You may as well go start molesting children and invading Poland too.
It's the same thing.

That is definitely against the rules in Song Fight! You're not supposed to use any material from before the title was announced.

Alright! I'll write a new song. I'll even submit the demo of the old idea to Niv so that he has the two to distinguish between.

Cool, thanks. That's not the only approach that's been used to resolve ties though, right? I seem to recall some ties being broken other ways.
