Hey, everybody-
It's my solemn duty to concede and whatnot with the losing, heretofore.
I guess I succumbed to time crunch.
I broke through my bass drum head last night, after guitar center hours.
I was behind as it was, and tried to program drums to the guitar (instead of the other way around; the usual way) until about 6:30, when a friendly squirrel convinced me to go get some sleep (so I could take m'boy to the car show.)
I'm a little bummed to have to drop out at such an exciting point in the competition, but it was fun, and I'm looking forward to next year (when so many chips will hopefully not be stacking against me [see: cat bitten fingers and such])
Your Pal,
Bob Nominous.
P.S. Good Luck Puce!

Bummer Phil, that sucks. I blame the late in the game six minute challenge.
Anyway, we're still in it this time, also for better or for worse. Our song clocks in at about 6'20" or so. This was really tough, considering how tapped out we're feeling at this point (more than 8 weeks into this competition!).
Oh man, I think I'm delirious from not sleeping much last night...

Well, I'm in. I had a bad crash right at mixdown, and had to scramble to re-render. The crash cost me my carefully chosen mastering settings, so I had to re-master it "blind"; I haven't even listened to it yet. My prediction: quiet and overcompressed.
<strike>Sorry to hear the bad new Abom</strike>. I'll give 'em hell for ya.
EDIT: That was supposed to be "bad news". I don't think the New Abom is bad at all.
EDIT 2: Haha, my mix is crap.

Puce, your "crap" mixes are better than 99% of the mixes in SongFight! land, so don't sweat it. I just noticed that our song is missing a whole track which didn't get exported for some reason.
This round has given me an idea though: Puce and Frankie should do a collaboration! That would be like the formation of Voltron, and would be awesome.

I've been thinking similar things lately. Puce is so awesome at production and I'm not only not, but I don't seem to be too interested in getting better at it. So, it would seem logical I should team up with someone who can make my songs sound awesome! I'll start saving my pennies.Lunkhead wrote: This round has given me an idea though: Puce and Frankie should do a collaboration! That would be like the formation of Voltron, and would be awesome.

To the best of my knowledge, the due date is accurate. Niveous can confirm that when he's not out of town.
The last round will be judged by the 23 contestants that were eliminated in this competition since round one.
It's <b>PUCE</b> vs. <b>FRANKIE BIG FACE</b> in:
<b>Nur Ein's FINAL ROUND</b>

Challenge: Bring Your "A" Game

There won't be much of a window so y'all should plan to spend July second and third doing nothing but listening to the final two songs over and over. It's the American thing to do, especially for you dirty non-Americans in the competition.

I guess it would be wrong to start this new relationship by asking you to mix and master my last Nur Ein entry, wouldn't it?Puce wrote:It'll be like matter and anti-matter combining: such a union could potentially rend the world asunder.Lunkhead wrote:This round has given me an idea though: Puce and Frankie should do a collaboration!
