I'm still looking for one more judge for this year's Nur Ein. Any takers?

Re: Nur Ein V
I would to appeal to the contestants and judges for a slight schedule change.
I propose the new title and challenge are assigned on the Monday morning when the submission is due. I still think the judges need 2 days to soak in the submissions, deliberate and determine the winner. So the results would still be on Wednesday morning. The worst case scenario is that a contestant has started writing a song and then finds out he's been eliminated. This does not seem bad at all to me. Especially with things like the Nein thread. My motivation is that my band has Monday and Tuesday studio time, and between kids and wives, without Monday and Tuesday to work on a song the BSS will be at a serious disadvantage.
How does that sound to the Niveous, the judges and the contestants?
thanks for the consideration!

You did say you wanted to be a judge, TWS. We don't have a spot open this year, so I'll keep a slot open for you for next year. The Weakest Suit wrote:eh?Niveous wrote:I will name the first 3 judges for the 2011 Nur Ein to be myself, Roymond and the Weakest Suit.

No No No. I grumble about not being able to make music these days (and still need to finish my GOM), and not getting my ass whooped in Nur Ein, which I was looking forward to.Niveous wrote:Is this one of those "I asked to be a judge a while back" things. I'm pretty sure that everyone has a life. The current schedule was not written with any specific contestant's schedule in mind, and that's the way it should be, in my opinion.glennny wrote:...schedule to make it easier for BSS...

I agree with you Spud. I too think the due day and time should be when "I" send mine in for each title. That way I'll never be late. I think that's a very reasonable request and I think it should be implemented.Spud wrote: bla bla bla..... Re: Nur Ein V
I agree everyone has a life. And I understand the schedule was written without bias towards anyone's schedule. And I agree that's as it should be. I'm just asking the judges and fellow competitors if such a schedule shift would be OK with them. I think it would be sporting. Though seemingly unbiased, the schedule in fact is biased against Monday and Tuesday night musicians. I was just hoping to open up the whole week for everyone, maybe nobody needs it but us. Seems like a fair question to ask.
I think 2 extra days would be great for everyone.
The main question I'm asking is if people would mind getting a challenge and title before they know they're still eligible or not?
In any case I look forward to the challenges!
PS i think you should tell BLT the songs are due at 9:00AM PST (he'll get them in before the 10:00AM deadline)
