Re: Nur Ein V: Round 3
Do we get dinged if the guest is a recording of someone, that predates round 3's title/challenge announcement, rather than a performance conceived and executed after? I assume the answer is yes, but figured I'd ask, because my entry will be much, much funnier if the answer is no.

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 3
As always, the way in which you choose to execute the challenge is utterly and completely up to you. There are no hidden rules, caveats or gotchas. If any particular judge thinks that what you did is creative, clever, adds to the quality of your composition, arrangement, or performance, or influences the direction of your songwriting for this particular title in a positive manner, they will have a tendency to view your song in a somewhat more positive light than if it isn't or didn't. That is all.

Then we're probably gunna count Hoglen as the guest (unless we can squeeze some tunes out of his cat).Spud wrote:As always, the way in which you choose to execute the challenge is utterly and completely up to you. Re: Nur Ein V: Round 3
The group is "Hoglen & Wages" thus Hoglen can't be the guest.
Plus did you see the part where it says the more interesting, the better?

I, for instance would not consider a sample a guest, although some other judges might. Such is the way of the Ein!

I am not for all this fucking hand-holding. If Wages wants to call Hoglen his guest, that's his business. He has every right to FAIL at the challenge. We have to eliminate some people, remember?

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 3
Can the guest have a hand in the songwriting, or just performing? If I'm writing the rest of the songs on my own, I want to make sure I wouldn't disqualify myself for this challenge.

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 3
This title virtually writes itself. Like everybody else I suppose, the first thing to came to my mind is the Newcastle Knight's first Major Premiership title and their epic 1997 Grand Final win over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
I am planning an 8 hour opera celebrating the event. I have emailed Luciano Pavarotti (we have been looking for a project to do together for a while now). He will sing the part of Andrew Johns. Next weeks immunity is in the bag.
Ahhhhh...let's enjoy those fabulous final moments of that match again:

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 3
Sure! If you want it to turn out it's best, send me a recording where you are singing the part you want me to sing. I'd "double it" and then you can mix it how you think is best. Otherwise I may make up my own melody.Caravan Ray wrote:I bags Wages as a guest vocalist.

P.S. Apparently we can no longer have a bazillion quotes within quotes. Damn! That's prob been in place for a while, eh?

Sneaky competitor, that Sid Denison is. Yes, Ben.
