Nur Ein VI Round Two "Blame It On Ginger

Post by Niveous »

While the judges finish their tabulations, you can begin to ponder how to handle this challenge. It's a lyrical challenge but a tough one to pull together.

Title: Blame It On Ginger
Non Optional Challenge: Song must be autobiographical
Songs are Due on: Monday, May 2nd @ 12:01 AM EDT

I did know one "Ginger", a childhood friend. We're now Facebook friends, and my guess is that she wouldn't be thrilled if I wrote about her. Assuming I make it to Round 2 I'll have to think about this one.

Clarification!
Autobiographical in spirit or autobiographical as in factually true about oneself? If the latter, how do the judges intend on telling the difference?
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

I was wondering that as well. And if we need to be factually true, can I choose any one of my multiple personalities to write about?

Hmmm, that's going to make it difficult to sing about the time that Ginger and I were abducted by aliens.

Hey, it's an honor system. If you say it, I'll believe it.

Good luck with that.

By the way, I don't really know any gingers, either. But I do have an idea for a song. Which I'm not going to tell you about.

I'll give you my second idea. Write a song about a cross dressing male prostitute named Ginger Al that is famous for his twig and berry fire bush.

...Run for it, dantes! Run straight home and don't stop 'til you get there! You have the golden ticket!

"Sit right back and I'll tell the tale, that tale of a fateful trip, that started from this tiny port aboard this tiny ship..."

What, am I the only one who thought of this right away? Tom, I KNOW you had to think of this...

Didn't even think of redheads...did think of the spice though.

Oy.
