Re: Nur Ein VII: Final Round
Considering the success I had going unplugged last round and the fact that both Ross and I are g'n'g at heart, I can't help but notice the title's implications about arranging, producing and even songwriting. Coincidence?
Also, I sliced open my left index finger yesterday. Not stitch-worthy or anything but not going without several band-aids any time soon. :-/

Ouch! This is not a good approach, Django, but I'm glad there will be more keys in your entry this week. Also, I sliced open my left index finger yesterday. Not stitch-worthy or anything but not going without several band-aids any time soon. :-/
My stitches, btw, are finally starting to dissolve after two and a half weeks.

Ouch! This happened to me the last time I submitted to Nur Ein. Two words: open tuning.frankie big face wrote:Also, I sliced open my left index finger yesterday.
But maybe that isn't great advice; I didn't advance that round.

Way to get the sympathy vote. If Ross wins, you'll say, "whoop dee doo, you beat a guy with a sliced open falange".frankie big face wrote:I sliced open my left index finger yesterday. Not stitch-worthy or anything but not going without several band-aids any time soon. :-/

If you guys are having trouble with the challenge, bring your "O" game. Sometimes "O" can sound like "A" in some words and dialects.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Re: Nur Ein VII: Final Round
Two Logic crashes tonight resulting in loss of all my backing vocals and a nifty bass lick. Grrr. (I just redid all the backing vox and found the audio file for the bass lick.) I think I'm done. Will sleep on it and see what this thing sounds like tomorrow morning although I won't really have time to do anything major if it sucks.
This is always a very strange time in the Nur Ein process. It's like a ghost town except for these two guys who are going to duel at twenty paces.

I'm stilltrying to figure out what my A game is. I used wikipedia for villanelle and tongue twister, but it didn't have any help on this topic.

If you want, I can quickly go create a Wikipedia topic called "Ross's A Game." But I'm just going to write "grindcore with falsetto vocals a là Miss Piggy" to try and trick you.

You two are silly!
P.S. Niveous, I'm sending my song tonight but I reserve the right to send a different mix tomorrow morning. I don't think it's going to happen, but just in case.

Okay, I am in. I did tweak the mix a little after all and sent the updated file seconds ago, BUT I HAVEN'T RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION.
