First time Nur Einer. I wrote a song that isn't very good. I sent in the handheld recording of the first time I played it through as I have no time this week for anything more. I figure one of two possible good outcomes may take place. 1) I make it through to the second round and can do something worthy of the challenge because "no-one gets eliminated in round zero." or 2) I become the first round zero elimination in Nur Ein history and will at least always be a footnote in the challenge.

Merisan is in!

And not to speak for Frank, who will probably drop in to speak for himself, but my understanding is that he's not going to compete this year. :(

I'm in. Very much a mic fart for this round. Fingers crossed for only 25 entrants. I just couldn't not throw my hat in the ring after how much fun it was last year.

Well...I got a song in, and it has potential...but no background instrumentation. Yeah, I know- I gotta learn how to play SOMEthing! Till then, and until I can find a reliable partner, it is vocals alone *sigh*

Yep. There was some sniveling about needing more time. The pressure and wait were a big part of the competition, I thought. If anything, more time makes me put off doing things.

I thought the snivelling was just about not having the title be put back in the event that judging was a bit slow - not getting more time. Is there more time? I don't remember

Yeah, you have two more days to work on songs. And I am not sniveling. Perhaps driveling, but not sniveling. Thank you.

One more competitor, Vincent Von F, has been added to the mix. His song had landed in my spam folder.

From my perspective the nice thing about the change in the schedule is that it makes it so that the start of the next round can happen before the judges finishing their judging. The upshot is that the contest can actually run according to the schedule originally laid out, even if a judge has a personal situation come up that delays the results for a round. So the tournament won't run long and you always know when the songs are due.
