Thanks for posting this early! I am traveling for most of next week, but with the couple extra days' notice I should have something to turn in!

So, hey, I found an old reel-to-reel tape of the King Arthur Trio doing a song called "Race to the Bottom" at the 1965 Fresno Folk Festival that I think I can recover. Oddly enough, the song is about the invention and marketing of CFL light bulbs, which didn't happen for another 30 years or so... super creepy.

But I have a backup lyric, about old people going to the casino on the rez for a big night out, so, FM, if you need somebody to submit two songs as the same artist to test out your code fixes, let me know, I can probably help out with that. Reminds me, how many other people will be using "smoke 'em if you got 'em" ???

I dropped off my spare lyric in Ye Old Lyric Marte, if anybody's looking for some words. I think it would just about have to go country, but what do I know about such tthings? Anyway, if anybody wants...

I didn't think that was allowed?

Smoke m if u got m is a good line... I can actually hear that song as a punk track, though maybe hillbilly punk, yes!

PJ - well, the subsequent line that the song is about CFL bulbs is my way of saying "just kidding, this is actually a brand new song, done in the style of the Kingston Trio." I guess I gotta stop trying to be deep and clever, it's probably not helping me...

Dear KA, I didn't know if you were actually an experimental physicist and it could have been true. I feel foolish now but I allow for things like that, albeit sometimes as an excuse to not use my brain.
Weird things happen with Science (gravitational wave detection that happened this year, reilluminating the dark matter idea; Einstein's theory of static universe and cosmological constant which he reportedly considered the biggest blunder of his career, God bless 'im, Newton's flawed law/s that are still taught and the cold fusion notion) then there's the laziness of creative geniuses and the stealing of ideas (I saw a meme the other day saying if a Tesla electric car is stolen, is it then called an Edison?)

Also, this has possibly been a bad example of why gender disparity exists :-o

I'll hush now.

In. Yes, I know the bass is mixed further to the side than one might normally choose to do.

I'm aiming to get the site update this weekend, so, any late stragglers out there, you're just about out of time.

So I tried to lumping last minute idea with a commission piece I was doing for a bird festival in Tasmania, Australia, where I am currently. So instead of my US politics idea (which really I'm not qualified to comment on) or any more bloody love songs (I guess there could be a pun there if you wish) it's about a migratory bird. Alas it's probably not chirpy enough to use for the festival video so I'm working on another for it.
