Pretty sure Seaweed Delete is already upstairs working something up.

Re: Ooh, cryptozoological! (Mythical Creature prefight)
Thanks Sam. Just checked the archive to confirm: This week marks two years since my last entry. Only two songs submitted since leaving the military in 2013, yikes.
Hope I can contribute more consistently from now on. Also, if anyone needs dobro or mandolin, I'm your guy.

Brown Word is in. Could've spend the week messin' around with the mix, but nope, gotta just call it done. (Also there's a microscopic song within a song this time.)

Re: Ooh, cryptozoological! (Mythical Creature prefight)
I wrote a song based on a style that I can't pull off (simple song carried by harmony singing) and I'm regretting it. But I may submit it anyway.

Sitting at 13 audio tracks and counting. I think there's room for more.

Re: Ooh, cryptozoological! (Mythical Creature prefight)
Officially submitted. The lyrics are related to the title, though it's kind of an oblique literary reference.

Re: Ooh, cryptozoological! (Mythical Creature prefight)
I may update the site Sunday night, so, all y'all stragglers should aim closer to the deadline this time if you can. I am scheduled to have some dental surgery Monday that will have me laid up for a few days, so, I'll need to take care of the update before that so it doesn't sit around for days.

Re: Ooh, cryptozoological! (Mythical Creature prefight)
I have some lyrics I like, but I'm way behind on the music. Also my daughter is leaving to go back to Denmark on Sunday, so I can't give this a lot of time. I'll try to throw something together quickly. Unless someone else wants a go at the lyrics?. . .Lunkhead wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 10:54 amI may update the site Sunday night, so, all y'all stragglers should aim closer to the deadline this time if you can. Re: Ooh, cryptozoological! (Mythical Creature prefight)
We are in!
This is the most Mostess song in a while. Plodding tempo, off-kilter melody, unfinished bridge. But hey, we did it.
New recording setup because I got a new laptop and finally decided to set up a DAW in linux. So I had to find a driver for my 15 year-old A/D USB interface, get JACK working in real-time mode with minimal latency, and figure out how to use Ardour. The fact I got a song written and recorded is gravy, really.
Enjoy!

Submitted late last night - mixing on headphones, so fingers crossed it's not a complete mess. Thanks for planning ahead on the update Sam! Best of luck with the surgery.
