Haha my song is also about Morph and Chas. Finally, they're getting the musical immortality they deserve.

I hope someone is writing about Game of Thrones and rhyming White Morph with King of the North.

Lichen Throat already wins this week for this lyric:

โ€œTime to eat my favorite snack:
Cylinders in a plastic sack.โ€

Thanks Crumpart! This title brought out some silly lyrics from me.

OK, well, against my better judgment because I'm not into metal and I'm not good at any of the key skills involved in making it (screaming, growling, shredding, technically proficient guitar playing), I wrote and recorded something that's at least metal-adjacent today and sent it in. I tried to fake it with some chuggy guitars, guitarmonies, and double kick drum loops, but sadly this is just not in my wheelhouse and I know it's not going to fool anyone, haha, sorry in advance!

I wrote the lyrics about The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym, a novel by Edgar Allan Poe that involves some white guys going to Antarctica--along the way, they encounter a group of people with black skin and teeth who are terrified of anything white and scream "Tekeli-li" whenever they see white objects--not knowing what this means, the explorers ignore the warnings and carry on sailing southwards, and as a current starts to carry them faster and faster, the sea turns hot and white, white powder rains from the sky, white birds screaming "tekeli-li" begin to fly around them, they sail into a mysterious white fog, and the novel ends with the perfectly terrifying scene: "And now we rushed into the embraces of the cataract, where a chasm threw itself open to receive us. But there arose in our pathway a shrouded human figure, very far larger in its proportions than any dweller among men. And the hue of the skin of the figure was of the perfect whiteness of the snow." I didn't really put anything explicit about this in the lyrics but it also seemed like a good metaphor for the recent rise of white supremacist terrorism in the US.

Submitted. Worked in a bunch of references to heavy metals in an attempt to not have to compose or play or sing heavy metal, but then I decided to give it a try anyways. Please be gentle in the reviews.
My housemate from the UK got me watching that Morph show after I showed them this week's fight title-- not what my song is about, but what a great show.

Whelp, these takes are still sludge, and not in the fun metal way. I'll probs submit this late tomorrow. I broke out the 7 string for this one, so I'm stoked.

It's been about a year since I last submitted. The winter weather has me back to making music, and this title and challenge somehow piqued my interest. Not sure if it is heavy metal, but it was fun to put together.

Brother Baker is in with an emotional exploration of The Evil Green Ranger's morph to goodness and leadership. Also also the morph to white ranger-ness.

Night Sky is in. The attempt at a Morphine sound was a complete bust. Ended up more 50s rock with saxes. Tried to make it a bari feature, but ended up having to pull out the tenor to get it done. Definitely not metal.

Big regrets for not including some slippery little nod to the "kid who got into an accident and couldn't come to school, but when, he finally came back, his, hair, had turned from black into bright white. He couldn't quite explain it; the cars had smashed sooooooo haaaaaarrrrd.........

Mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmm mmmm mmmm mmmm"

Ok, in. I even have a breakdown, which is a first for me. Programming drums by hand is no fun, but it's probably good for me to rely on preset patterns less.
