Moody Vermin is in with grungy dark shoegaze.
I am definitely too square for how experimental this is, but I can imagine that if I was in the right state of mind, the section starting at 2:20 might transport me to another dimension - jeffhenderson

Brother Baker is in with what I think shoegaze kinda is, still not quite sure. It's definitely dark. Also, there's a trombone and a cello.

Phlebia needs to finish mixing his vocals but this is hella shoegaze.

Looking forward to these. This is going to be the opposite of the metal fight for me, heavy bias towards every song, haha.

Vowl Sounds are in the fight, also.

K, I'm in. I'm not sure if I'm totally happy with the mix, but I've got envelope filters, reverbs, chorus, distortion, overdrive, flanged vocals, vocoder, motorik drums, a drone section, and seemingly endless tremolo picking. Self indulgent? Yes. But I love shoegaze and this was a fun excuse. Also drop A again, because why not?

So, uh, how many more "pet genres" of mine are we gonna do as optional challenges? Cause I'm down with this trend. Or just "genre fights" in general.

I was just thinking this. Metal and then shoegaze? Twice now I was going to skip a week and couldn't bear to.

In with a tribute to Lilith, the big boss for the new Diablo 4 game. The cinematic trailer looks sick. Borrowed a lot of motifs for this one.

Hey Vom I have been listening to a lot of Luke Haines recently and your lyric for this fight reads like something he would do.

It's an owl lyric, so I defer all praise to the correct party! But yes, I think I see where you're coming from. Not a huuuuge Haines fan but I do love Black Box Recorder.

Then indeed praise to Owl, and a strong YES to Black Box Recorder.
