Re: Here comes the inevitable (Abuse Of Power prefight)
Still busy with Nur Ein at the moment, but this sounds really fun, maybe I'll manage to finish something for this one. I did the very same thing (i.e. a four-part song story) before in, uh, 2014, it was. I called it the "Celina Flanaghan Tetralogy"; I came up with my main character's name because it sounded "real" and not so much like an imaginary name to me. It's a very weird story though. If you're interested and want to have a listen, the songs are "Suitcase", "The Lurker", "L'Occitane" and, with a break and two other SF entries in between, the epic finale "Take It Back". In retrospective, I don't like any of them too much (much of these is absolutely cringeworthy) and I find the two songs I recorded between the third and fourth part ("All I Ever Needed", "No Vacancy") far superior. But it was fun.

Re: Here comes the inevitable (Abuse Of Power prefight)
Point of clarification for a 2021 newbie: does this mean there will be 4 "abuse of power" fights in a row?

Who knows. My guess is the next three titles will be different and it will be your job to tie all of them into a single storyline.

first song fight of 2021! had to send it in early because I'm out of town for a bit.

Night Sky will be in, but late. Not enough horns recorded yet.
Night Sky is Sally on lyrics, Steve on drums, and Matt on the other stuff

Re: Here comes the inevitable (Abuse Of Power prefight)
Brown Word got in earlier with an effort I considered rather awful but King Colon assures me it reminds him of 90's bands that us older people like. WreckdoM is also in under the wire.
Looking forward to Night Sky's horns! Also generally looking forward to the stories that everyone is creating. I liked lichenthroat's story so far.

Just an FYI, I'm away till Tuesday and won't be sending the confirmation emails about folks' songs while I'm away. I probably won't get the site updated till after I get back.

Re: Here comes the inevitable (Abuse Of Power prefight)
Looks like I'll be in twice with Phlebia and Synthlad. I spent all day setting up my new computer for recording and messing around with new versions of old programs, rip in peace old computer from 2008, we had a good run <3

Re: Here comes the inevitable (Abuse Of Power prefight)
I'm admittedly taking advantage of the Tuesday alert above as I wouldn't have an entry otherwise. I wrote and recorded a song yesterday. Mixing is barely started but I'll attempt to get a listenable pass sent in tonight if I can fit it around Nur Ein duties.

Re: Here comes the inevitable (Abuse Of Power prefight)
I'm in, with a medieval kinda tune. The first three minutes are a ballad and the last one is a war march. I am planning to do the four-part challenge and, possibly, create a prog epic. The progginess will be determined by the following titles.
