I ordered an alto saxophone yesterday. It's an instrument I've been wanting for a long time, though I'm more of a clarinet guy (I tried tenor sax and it was a nightmare for me, that thing is just so big and heavy!)
I'll see if I can get anything decent out of the alto sax and perhaps use it for this fight. I'm thinking about doing a homage to King Crimson, something similar to "Pictures of a City" specifically, that sax riff is wonderful.

Not been very motivated for a few months. Too much noodling and not enough writing.
Thought it was about time I got back in the swing again before I forgot how to.

I'm not sure it was the most conceptually coherent idea to write an electronica song set in the fall of 1950, but I did it anyway. Also, you can't really tell it's 1950 without doing more googling of minutiae than any sensible person would do. I don't know if that makes it better or worse.

Brown Word in with chapter two in this saga, wherever it is leading. Certainly something is wrong with the mix, there always is, but here I come anyway. Some day I'll learn!

I’m in again with the synthlad for part 2 in the saga of invisibility powers stolen from an iguana/chameleon alien hybrid race 🦎 👽 alien invasion anyone? 🛸

Also, our instaband is just about wrapping things up! So be on the lookout for that too! 👀 💊

Banda de Luchadores Melodiosos is in with our second entry.

It's a sing-a-long. PM me a link to a WAV file and I'll mix you in and release the great SongFight! choir version.

Critical Rave Theory did everything we could to make the second installment of a 4-part song cycle. (Props to our vocalist for executing in the midst of a power outage last night!)

Request: I wrote and recorded something on my phone while camping with the in-laws, but can't make it an mp3. Would anyone be willing to convert and submit it today hopefully before the deadline?

It's part 2, but not of my part 2 song. Picks up where the Beatles left off on she's Leaving Home, then cops a bit of a Leonard Cohen So Long Maryanne vibe.

Thanks if so. I've attached it as the m4a it recorded as. Might lose service here.
