I couldn't agree more Spud. My headspace is a little clearer now that the business plan I've executed is starting to take shape. I'm thinking it's Redcar time......... searching out a new sex.....

I worked on Alaska's North Slope one February to make some extra cash. It was dark nearly all day.. the sun rose a bit right around lunchtime. Unfortunately, I worked so much overtime that month I ended up with carpal tunnel and had to head back home. For the next hear and a half, I literally couldn't pick up a guitar for more than 10 minutes at a time- my hands were in that bad shape. It was two years before I wrote another song.
That really really sucked. A lot. So maybe I'll write a bluesy song about that.

I'm in with a mystery collaboration. It's so mysterious, my mystery collaborator hasn't told me which title we're doing.

Dark all Day
I have this metal/rock ballad idea. I think I have a sore throat coming on as well, to give it that feel. But I don't own or have access to an electric guitar! No how am I going to do rock or metal without and electric guitar? I could plug in my electro-acoustic, but that's not the right sound. So as far as I can see I have a few choices. I could do the song a different way ie not rock or metal, so no need for said electric guitar. I could borrow one, but don't know anyone close enough that owns one. Perhaps Messrs Balham or Cashpoint. But how would you get it here? My third idea seems to be the most realistic although could be difficult logistically. I send someone a draft of what I want with a chord sheet, they play and record and send me the audio files. Hmmm. . . Any takers?
Haven't finished writing the song, so don't all rush at the same time.

so . . . when was the last time you backed up?

Re: Dark all Day
I don't own an electric guitar either. But I can vouch for Mr Balham owning several. Probably best to PM him as he comes and goes here with the fluidity of something quite fluid.Bell Green wrote:I could borrow one, but don't know anyone close enough that owns one.
