King Arthur will be returning with the help of his country singer alter ego, 'Arth King. Along the lines of what I did for Aspartame.

Man... each time I get the urge to write for songfight... the title leaves me blanker than Denyer after he worked as an "English as a Second language" tutor in Thailand.

* I contemplated using Rone for that joke, but unlike Denyer, he seems to be lacking in the humour department.

Never the less... I am going to try. I got a Boss Micro cube... and it's pretty sweet for the ferry rides home after work... I sit in my car, plug the guitar into it and jam away. So.. I am going to attempt to write an SF tune, using the micro cube, on my way to work, and on the way home!

Not sure if I'll actually do the entire tune on the cube, or if I'll migrate to cubase later... i suppose that depends on some...thing... that...isn't defined...yet.

A woman on paper. I wish paper was a code name for a narcotic, cause then I'd have something.

What? I don't have humor? Your MOM doesn't have humor!!! lol just kidding.

I'm going to try to make a song for this, although someone else already has the same exact idea I was gonna use. Oh well, I'll do it anyway.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

So what? The same idea can be looked at from different directions and approached in different styles. Try and come at the idea from a new perspective, you might come up with something interesting.

Crap, I was gonna write a country song about a woman addicted to a narcotic known as "paper," too.

Hey man...it's cool, you can put your own spin on it.

*I'm not writing a song about a woman who is hooked on paper.

But I did get an idea I like... in my head anyway. Or at least a workable one. Something like that.

I'm taking a stretch again. I decided to go with paper as being a metaphor for a birth certificate. So it was either going to be about a transsexual (has a penis, but legally a woman) which was coming out quite comical, or the age factor (is it love or the law that should decide when a girl is a woman). The love song is flowing great, so that's where I'm going with mine. Sounds good on the acoustic so far, but I want this one to really rock!

Man, I did a complete departure from my normal songwriting and spent the last fifteen minutes ripping out a sincere, hard-rockin' AC/DC-style number about a transvestite -- but I don't even own a guitar. I have no idea how I'm going to pull this off. If anyone out there who can pull off that style is stumped for this fight, ping me ASAP; otherwise we're all going to hear how power chords sound on the uke...

Oh damn, you have to use the uke! I want to hear you cranking out some power chords on the uke. Just add some fuzz and delay to it it on the mix down, it will be unique.

Okay, Billy, you asked for it -- heaven only knows how this'll turn out, and whether I'll have a voice left when it's done. Heh. It'll be like Baby AC/DC.

Incidentally, one of my kids has a black rock tour ripoff t-shirt that says "AB/CD -- For Those About To Read, We Salute You."

An inexpensive electric guitar has been purchased. I don't know how to play i t, and I don't know how to record it. The song will still have grunge uke as well.

Here's to several songfights' worth of fundamental guitar mistakes!

Oh, and neither of those links lead to the shirt my kids have -- they have this one: http://www.trendytadpole.com/customforms/

Note that I don't think this is the place my wife bought it from; I can't necessarily vouch for this online store.

Klownhole will also be dealing in the abstract with the topic of conflict between what defines a woman on paper, versus what actions may define a woman. Or even a man as a woman. How they dress, how they act, whether they exhibit muffintop style. All these topics will be covered. A white paper will follow. And an appearance on Oprah.
