I'm trying to figure out how either of the titles fits in with that idea...
Well, I found repeating 'Zero to Phantom' a lot worked for me .... :)

Lyric is up. Not that you'll be any the wiser from reading it. It's 'metaphorical'. He.

Crap, I slag the titles for being impossible and then I come up with lyrics to my ZtP that actually vaguely fit in with the title and the overall theme of these fights. D'oh!

I had a greater theme and storyline in play, but the execution has come up short, apparently.

I offer no appologies, however. I'll be out of town and out of earshot until Monday, so your crass critism will be lost on me.

(how's that for setting expectations?)

My ZtP is in. For some reason, Sonar decided to do very strange things at the last minute, and so the mix kinda sucks. That's ok, because nobody's going to be around to review this week anyway.

Hostess Mostess has a Zero to Phantom. For this I am thankful.

BJAM - ABCD Poppy!!!!

Post by stueym »

Okay Bjam's entry is in for ABCD Puppies. This was lots of fun (more for me than her as I was so wrapped up in generating the rest of the sounds that I kept her waiting to do her vocals).

More pop than last times "folk" contribution, but my "roots" are still showing :o (if it is still appropriate to use the word root in that context!!!)

Looking forward to hearing all the ABCDP and ZTP entries.

Have a great Holiday those of you in the US. For those of you over the pond if you have not been over here on Thanksgiving, you have no idea what a big deal this holiday is. All I can say is I look forward to celebrating St. Andrews night on the 30th with you all.

WreckdoM has submitted their song for this week. ABCD Puppies! It's not for wimps. It may not sound good on Computer speakers. I recommend you get a boomin system to play it on.

This song is dedicated to all you Pimps out there.

As A side note, the Mod K Crew has also submitted a song this week for Zero to Fantom.

Enjoy!

i don't know if anyone mentioned this or not in the last six pages of thread, but i think it would be interesting if the old "abcd puppies" and "zero to phantom" songs were posted this week as well. i'm not suggesting it, i'm just saying it would be interesting. in lieu of that, maybe people could include them in their reviews.

....I think I may do this... for contrast's sake anyway. Which means cause I haven't even listened to them... we'll see if the old is as good as the new!!

I intentionally didn't listen to the old Zero to Phantom fight for fear of contaminating my title interpretation. But it occurred to me this morning that the fight might include those old songs. Damn! I would have sized up the competition if I'd thought it might be competition.

At least I didn't fall for the old "64kbs mono" trick. Mine sounds shiny. Mmmm. Shiny.

I listened to the originals and I must say that the winner of ABCD Puppies from way back when sounded pretty WreckeD if you know what I mean.

I don't know if any of you other fools have accepted the optional Challenge, but the Mod K Crew was up for it. Our song can hold it's own even in mono and the low bitrate.
