They'll be here when they're here? But if they're not here then they're not here. And should that trend continue they shall never be here.

*panicking*

....

*unexpectedly blows up*

I'm taking the opportunity to write a song that's nothing to do with songfight whatsoever.

In fact, could we have another week's delay, so I can finish it?

No No NO you can't.
According to the articles, section 14b para 7-8
"If thou chooseth to partake of the liquor of the well of songfight, Thou shalt sup at this well and no other."

Going on 48 hours since the deadline.....that seems kind of long. What is going on? Are there that many songs this week? WTF......would a moderator care to elaborate on why all weekend I've been checking and re-checking song-fight, waiting to hear my crappy music?

It's unusual, but not unheard of. The admins just occasionally have lives to attend to.

Lives? Whassat?

 (Personally I'm happy for the wait-- means I'm not getting distracted from going over the lyrics for the HS winter concert this afternoon. It'd be bad to start singing some SF song instead of some song in Hebrew that I can barely pronounce.)

Umm ... can't remember.

Hey! You can do Hebrew? Even just a little bit? I want to hear you submit something in Hebrew! Don't suppose you can do Aramaic? ;-).

PS. My non-SF song is not in English.

*laughs* I don't know a word of Hebrew! But because we have a load of Jewish people where I live, apparently they complained one year because there were no Hannukah songs and loads of Christmas ones. Thus it turns out that I get to sing two Hebrew songs with the school choir. They're kinda boring, but I get to belt out the high notes so it's crazy fun ;)

Aramaic? Umm... No. Can you?

I bet they are the only two Hanukkah songs in existence -- "Dreidel, dreidel" and "Hanukkah Oh Hanukkah"

I had a little dreidel, I made it out of clay
And when it's dry and ready, oh dreidel I will play

and

Oh Hanukkah oh Hanukkah come light the menorah
more words that nobody knows, we all dance the hora
etc.

Unless you count Adam Sandler's "The Chanukah Song"

The thought of a school choir singing that makes me laugh a lot.

ROCK!
