Good titles! I am most positively going to be in for this last fight of the year.
But which title to choose?

Oooh, I have good ideas for The Pawnbroker's Stepdaughter. It sounds very long folk-y tale-y like.

With over a week to do this with no school or commitments I should probably be able to do it... Although I'll probably end up slacking as normal.

Perhaps we should collaborate, Mr K?

Anyway, I have an idea for 'Run Faster' and a vision for 'Pawnbroker's Daughter' ...

I'm thinking I might throw in a drum n' bass heartstopper for run faster. Then again I might just sample the theme from Rocky. Then again I might do nothing and be lazy.

Santa Claus just brought me a whole bunch of new recording toys, so I might end up in one of these fights.

But then again, he also brought me Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, so I have a feeling that finding time to record this week will be rather challenging.

Leering at the Pawnbroker's Stepdaughter. Just need the little things (lyrics, music, etc.) to make it work. Lots of time...

I've received an X-box from Santa. Enough said, I think. But I may try the pawn broker.

Did you mean "12/31/04 Midnight" or "1/1/05 Midnight"? Midnight is the start of a day, so midnight 12/31/04 would be the moment that new years eve begins.

Which one do you THINK is the deadline, considering the date? And why do you think Fightmaster might have worded it the way he did?

I would guess it'd be the moment the ball drops, but that's why I'm asking instead of assuming.

Well Josh, if you're running behind, email to me, and I'll submit it as a leaf tune.. then I can win the fight, and your entry will be on time....

Did the intricate technicalities of midnight ever bug anyone other than myself when they were growing up? The fact that the new day starts an hour before the clock rolls over always triggered my innate disdain for asymmetry and made me fail a very simple math test.

In other news, I may or may not be somehow associated with both fights . Free time has been a blessing, but it came with a curse of writer's block and heightened personal standards. I'm trying to do a song for The Pawnbroker's Stepdaughter, but I keep scrapping it and keeping only a tiny part, only to re-write it and re-scrap it, this time keeping a different part. It'll be interesting to compare the finished version with an earlier demo.
