Niveous wrote:Most often Tri-State Area refers to New York, New Jersey & Conneticut. Though I have heard it used for other places, most of the time it's those 3. And I'm not just saying that because I'm in New York. Type Tri-State Area into Google and see what you find.
oh yeah. that's what I meant.

This is scintillating, can we do multiple county references next?

Wow, who'd have thought my simple question would have created such heated debate.

For the record, I'm contemplating a Tri-State area song about Cameron's Corner - the point in the middle-of-nowhere where the borders of NSW, QLD and SA meet - but I'm also about to go on holidays for a week - so I may not finish it in time.

every state that shares a border with two other states has a tri-state area.

thank you for that healthy dose of normalcy, blue. where were you several days ago?

furthermore, because i am bored and a loser...

number of states each state touches (i am looking at a fairly small map to determine this so some of these--particularly the smaller states--may be inaccurate)

AL=4 AK=0 AZ=5 AR=6
CA=3 CO=8 CT=3 DE=3
FL=2 GA=5 HI=0 ID=6
IL=5 IN=4 IA=6 KS=5
KY=7 LA=3 ME=1 MD=4
MA=5 MI=3 MN=4 MS=4
MO=8 MT=4 NE=6 NV=5
NH=3 NJ=4 NM=5 NY=5
NC=4 ND=3 OH=5 OK=7
OR=4 PA=6 RI=2 SC=2
SD=6 TN=8 TX=4 UT=6
VT=3 VA=5 WA=2 WV=5
WI=4 WY=6

alaska, hawaii, and maine are the only states that don't touch at least two other states.

next week

Post by TheWilsonHeightsGang »

I am so pissed. My house flooded and made my recording room (basement) disgusting. So I've been working on finding a new place. This all happened after I wrote "motor psycho" in my head. AARG!!!

I'll be back next week to review

Wow. I deal with personal shit for the summer, and all you bastards up and move on me. If you were looking to shake the tree a little by moving to a different tri-state area, it almost worked. Damn.

After a couple of abortive tries to get back in the game, I think I'm in for Motor Psycho.

Hey, I'm in Ohio. Halfways between Columbus and Cleveland. Yeah, it sucks. Just thought maybe someone would care.

Well thanks to Peaks in Valleys and C-Monster, Draft came up with some more hot air for Trailblazin' . Was thinking of doing some kind of Roy Orbison/Johnny Cash vibe, but the rock seemed to get to C-monster, Pinhead and I :wink: . ...... we'll see what kind of whirlwind of trouble we can get into...... 8)

Metal!!!

Yes but at least you haven't been here for eleven fucking years.

Man, I hate Ohio.

(On-topic: I was going to enter Tri-State Area, but then my work schedule interfered. So, yet another song added to the list of unfinished works I'll have to record someday.)

I meant to say, done and in for Trailblazin'. A little bit of garagey punkishness. Some high backing vocals. Chanting. Harmonies of a sort. I'm pretty pleased with it (which is usually a bad sign.)

Bring. It. :roll:
