I'm so busy for the next week, but I love the title. Maybe a Thanksgiving miracle will happen.

Gonna start recording tonight, I feel much better about this weeks entry. :)

I haven't been around lately, but now I'm back for awhile. I haven't written anything or even played acoustic guitar that much over the past year or two.... long story. About a month ago, I was feeling pretty down and hubby (Hostage) challenged me to do Songfight every week for a year- whether I liked the entry or not. That's sorta why I am submitting as Quimby instead of Henrietta, cuz they are meant to exist as a separate set. So thanks in advance for listening to all my cobblings. I really appreciate all the feedback (good and bad). Listening to the tunes you all bring to the table every week is, well, for lack of a less cheesy word, inspirational. thanks.

Instruments are done. If I have time to get vocals done by Thursday I'll be in.

I recorded something while still getting over being sick and had the sick voice going on still, so maybe instead of just sounding like a goat this week, I'll sound like a wounded goat.

I was hoping to have a creative miracle between now and tomorrow night, but I just got called into work for the day shift, and have my son's school concert at night. That let's me out.

Anyone still looking for ideas? I was hoping to have a concept gel from here.

It's funny, we had a title "Rattle" earlier and now "Rattlesnake"... I could resubmit my old entry from "Rattle"! :)

Rone is in.

I'm just about to send off my song to the fightmasters.

Gotta say, this is pretty interesting. For some odd reason the vocal delivery reminds me of that Britney Spears song Toxic. *looks around* but uhh it's not like I listen to her or anything. ^_~
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

All the hail the all-mighty The Hell Yeahs!

Sweet.

Ford's Theater Disaster is 90% sure to be in

Edit: We're in, baby; still featuring a new vocalist and 50% more grit!

I fully expect the Redmons to kick our ass, but it's just awesome to be in a fight with my main inspiration for this project.

[Edit: no change in my prognostication, but I feel a helluva lot more confident after mixing than I did yesterday afternoon.]

Against all odds, it looks like I'm in. Huzzah for last minute crunch time. Inspiration struck late ("or not at all", as you may argue when you hear what I came up with).

>oof< I'm in too but >oof<.

Hey: one free vote to whoever knows (without a web search!) which Robert Frost poem I nicked stuff from.

And another one if you guess who did the guitar solo.

Eddie Van Halen!

Do I win?

I actually had a pretty catchy chorus, some cool Wurli riffs, and some sweetastic bass lines, but I failed to make them into a full song.
