Did you mean 10 songs in this fight or 10 songs in SF history?

Re: Et ils pissent comme je pleure (Amsterdam Reviews)
I was talking about 10 of my own SF songs that were worse than this entry that got at least 1 vote.
Not saying it should have won cuz this was a STRONG fight. But it's in the top 1/3 of songs I've submitted and even 1 vote that wasn't my own would have been nice.

You know, I've had that feeling a lot. The thing is, what you think of your song doesn't have too much to do with the voting.
What the song sounds like compared to the other songs for that title matters much more than what it sounds like compared to the rest of your songs. And public perception of the song is much more important than your perception of it.

Paco, I don't know you but I love you. Three years of dedicated participation in making, you deserve this like none other!!!! I've had many a conversation with Glennny over those years as to why this hasn't happened sooner. Once again, congrats.

I'm just being subjective here, but, DAMN. Your song this week was, without a doubt in my mind at least, the worst song you've ever submitted. Nothing was good about it. Once again, I'm just being subjective here.Rone Rivendale wrote:I was talking about 10 of my own SF songs that were worse than this entry that got at least 1 vote.

Not 10 songs, although I certainly could if I thought anyone would actually listen to 10 of my worst songs. Any of these 4 songs are 10x worse than my Amsterdam entry.

Congrats Pacminder! I'm proud of ya boy, but christ knows why it took so long for you to come up trumps. I'm pretty damn sure I'm not the only one who thinks you've submitted at least a dozen songs that are as deserving of the win if not more so.
Big fanking you to all ye merry reviewers.
Rone, just cos those songs suck ass hard does not necessarily mean your song this week was deserving of a vote. Fuck knows why anyone voted for those other songs. Comedy purposes probably. Although if we're analysing the spread, not sure why Pathetic wannabees are deserving of coming within one vote of Jon. And is Ross really 3 times better than Steve? [/chin stroking]

Re: Et ils pissent comme je pleure (Amsterdam Reviews)
Yeah Ross' song was the best one and Steve did like a 40 second song.
But anyway, I feel it deserved something better than a duck. And I proved my point. I'll stop hijacking the thread.

Oh my god dude, why are you submitting songs that you think are terrible? Why do you have 4 songs that you think are 10 times worse than a song you wrote? Why are you putting songs up that you don't think anyone will want to listen to? What do you want out of song fight?Rone Rivendale wrote:Alright Mark, you've asked for it.

You didn't "prove" anything, though- you're simply stating your (unobjective) opinion. The only thing that can be "proven" in this situation is that everyone who took the time to vote on this fight did not feel your song was worthy of a vote. That's factual; it can be proven by looking at the voting logs.

Re: Et ils pissent comme je pleure (Amsterdam Reviews)
lol those songs I posted were all early Rone entries. Like 3 and 4 years ago. I didn't have my guitar yet. I didn't have Rock Band yet (which improved my voice). I'm alot better now but back then that was my best efforts. Nothing wrong with that.
