I have a performance thing that I'm trying to get put together and this title is PERFECT for it. I'm already halfway through some trials. yay!

Uh, this is going to sound kinda dumb, but what is the optional challenge? Is it another title suggestion? Does it just mean that the song doesn't involve rabbits coming out of hats? Or is it completely up to interpretation?

To Elissa
the Title they give you is the only title, the song can be what ever you make it, but if the story you choose doesn't tie in with the title, most likely it will lower your chances on voting. voting is done by anyone that wants to. listen to some older fights and hear how each person ties the title in and also check how many votes they got

I've actually followed SongFight on and off for a while, so I know how it works; I just had never seen anyone respond to the optional challenge. Thanks anyway though.

This optional challenge is the Fightmasters being snarky, I'm pretty sure. Don't over think it.

I'm actually a little more inspired by the file acronym : "Ooah." But I have too much on my plate to plan on entering at the moment. Ima just put that on the great List of Neat Titles.

Yeah, I think the idea is that with a title like "Out of a Hat," the obvious route would be to mention something about a rabbit in the lyrics. So "optional challenge" is to not do that.

I have an idea musically... Lyrically, not a clue. Let's hope at least the music doesn't suck...

I would love to have a Jon Eric song in this fight. Will it happen? I'm still not sure.

I may have badly twisted my wrist yesterday in a show of astounding clumsiness surpassing even my legendary falls down the stairs. this may put my rangerD designs out of the fight yet again, unless I try something Heroic - as I was actually thinking of trying to master my track this go around :( boo anyhow.

Well I sent my song off for some fine tuning, and lead guitar work to ol' MG. He will be sending it back soon enough. Be prepared for Drunk Jewish Girls (aka Manhattans at Bat Mitzvahs)
