I know I am way belated on this, but I didn't know there was a forum until I submitted my Tyson track. Anyway, I am here to thank everyone that reviewed my Suitcase work.
First off, I am a video game mashup remixer. I never did a song with my own voice before, but I couldn't resist the Suitcase fight because I was immediately inspired with thoughts about a super secret agent and a suitcase that the audience doesn't get to see the inside of, but he does.
I know I forgot the beats. I kept every phase of the track that I mixed and the one I submitted was the step before the final, missing the beat. I knew after voting started that I killed my chances. Having said that, I would like to thank everyone that reviewed. I took your comments to heart for my Tyson track.
Pigfarmer Jr - I noticed my vocals coming too far in the Tyson track. I started over and faded them back.
Jeffhenderson - your comment about a circa 1982 Ice T was hands-down the best compliment I have ever received in my life. Thank you!
Kevin Mellows - yeah... all of my music is from video games. Have you ever checked out Team Teamwork? You really need to. They are my inspiration for getting into remixing in the first place.
Heine - Thank you!!
Paco del Stinko - Thank you for taking the time to review. I love your work! I tried to throw a bridge and some change-ups into my Tyson track.
codywalkerjr - That's ok. My wife doesn't like rap either. I still mix it
Generic - I love Deltron! I know my work sucks. That's why I try to stick to remixing artists that are good. But I love songfight too much to not try.
chocolatechips - I have been listening to rap for 20 years and you are so right. Flow is so much harder than it seems!
Anyway, I'm sure I resurrected a dead thread, but I wanted to thank everyone since I didn't do it at the time. Better late than never, I guess.
