I gave it a shot. I was a graphic designer in my earlier profession, so it was nice to get my feet wet again.

Re: How do you say, L'Occitane Reviews?
Um, wtf is up with the songs? Is it just me or is every song actually twice as long as it's supposed to be, and the second half is just the first half repeated? I'm not explaining it well, but, for example, this guy is really only 1:10 long, I think, and if you skip in to the middle there is a short silent gap then it replays the song again in the same file. WTF?

Re: How do you say, L'Occitane Reviews?
It's not every song, apparently. I don't think it happened to the Chocolate Chips song for whatever reason. Every other one I've checked so far, working through them in alphabetical order, has been doubled though. Is there some new processing of the mp3s that's being run on the server as part of the update process?

There is no new process. It might have happened in transfer. I will delete and re-upload them.

Lightning Shark!- that was pretty damn rocking! Are you a Jack White fan? This track sounds very Jack White. Regardless, cool playing!

Re: How do you say, L'Occitane Reviews?
Who is Jack White? Joking---yeah I am a fan and L'Occitane was definitely Jack White inspired---the riff the screamy vocals, the whammy solo ---nice catch. It just seems that my musical disposition falls more in Jack White/Black Keys territory sometimes when I would rather it fall in Wilco/Ryan Adams territory. But Im sure if I tended to write songs LIKE Wilco/Ryan Adams I would wish for the opposite-------ha. The grass is always greener.

Re: How do you say, L'Occitane Reviews?
Okay, on my first listen through of all the songs, there are number of really cool songs (kudos to everyone!!), but for the most part, I am hard pressed to see l'Occitane as an obvious title for a good number of them. Sure, I see thematically, and inspiration from l'Occitane in the songs, but in the most conventional sense where the title is typically repeated and reinforced a number of times throughout the song, no. Without knowing the designated title, would you be able to readily pick it out from most of these songs? Isn't that typically the nature of the title? I am pretty new here, so perhaps is my understanding of what is expected of us is far too narrow?

Re: How do you say, L'Occitane Reviews?
Thanks for the compliments!!! Making my day!!!! I'm working on doing a review for everyone, hopefully done tonight.
Thanks again, I've really been hiding all my music in my basement for about ten years showing nothing to noone so its nice to get critiques good or bad, but good is preferred, ha. Songfight has been cathartic so far.

Re: How do you say, L'Occitane Reviews?
No, an hour and 10 mins, ha. It's all based off one riff, drums are sloppy, I did one quick vocal pass ,wrote lyrics that fit the sounds, tacked on a terrible solo in literally the last minutes(although I like the "sound") and sent it. I've written this type of song 50 other times, so maybe I have a bit of a built in template for it. But yes, god as my witness 70 mins.
