Was running on the beach. Got the chorus vox and some of the background vox parts down, and about twice as much as I used for verses. Wrote it all down, but barely notated the chorus melody. A few hours later, went back and couldn't remember it. And couldn't decipher my notation, either. Fortunately, when I woke up in the morning, I remembered the melody.

Perhaps another run will... wait for it... jog your memory!

I have some ideas for this one but nothing's gelling. Go figure.

I keep hearing that damned Green Day song in my head. But I've got a toy piano so maybe something will happen in the next day or so... maybe.

I have a decent framework, I think, but I'm trying really hard to use the suggestions people have been giving during the WACS fight. Don't think I'll have a drum or bass line figured out in time. In any case, I'm pumped to have another song going :)

Damn. Scrapped instrumentals..just didn't feel "september" enough for me if that makes sense. Have a melody in mind. maybe, try to pull an all nighter tonight.
Excited to hear everyone's entries. :)

I've decided to bust out the old accordion this go 'round, which means my song is rife with mistakes. Also no software instruments this time, so it's not a very polished recording. But that's okay. I would be very surprised if any of the other entries sound anything like mine, which I suppose is my ultimate goal.

Over ten years ago, a buddy and I competed in a few song fights as sex piano/e. penus normus. I was reminded of songfight this week when someone said an old title in conversation (need stilts). It's amazing that the community is still going strong. I thought it'd be fun to jump back in! Looking forward to hearing everyone's tunes.
