Re: Got Plans? (pre-fight)
Hi, I'm back again. Just submitted - quite early this time.
I took my guitar while I was waiting for my computer to start, played a bit and got this song. Recorded it instantly. Layed down drums, rhythm guitars and bass, each using the first take. Yes, sloppy indeed, some mistakes - but to me it retains a fresh vibe.
For the first time I tried to make it sound like some sixties record. I hope I'll get some helpful hints how to create a more vintage guitar and bass sound.

I'm in.
A little something I threw together, but about time I was back at this - and if my math is right, this is ten years since my first fight.

Re: Got Plans? (pre-fight)
I'm actually working on a concept album right now. FAWM has been a help getting the stuff done. ... and I found a way to tie the song title to my concept album, so I'm in.
This time there's an instrument, but I compensate for that by making up my own genre.

Laid out. Can't format for art submission. So just take this as my livejournal of the day.

Re: Got Plans? (pre-fight)
I just posted my lyric and noted that by a spooky coincidence, both Mr. Beany's and my lyrics contain the words "polar bear". Weird, huh? "I'll be your polar bear", my song states. I guess that means Mr. Beany is going to kill and skin me.

Re: Got Plans? (pre-fight)
Request: can we get the next title now so that those of us doing FAWM have a chance of being able to do the song before the end of Feb?
Thanks!

Re: Got Plans? (pre-fight)
Ok I am feeling well enough that I've cut the image up and submitted it officially as Art for the fight. So there's at least one in there to use.

My song is more theoretical than sharp and pointy. You should be safe.
