AJ,

My comment wasn't directed towards you. I was being far more general. This forum has had many a conversation on friend flooding and social media promotion. I feel like it should not be an issue anymore.

OK, not "slandered" then. I did not mean to mis-portray what happened. It's unusual for somebody to win three in a row. These last three fights you've gotten more votes per fight than your previous average number of votes per fight. Two of the three fights had high total vote counts. It looks like the fights had lots of votes from AT&T cell phones. I saw those earlier Facebook posts. Various factors seemed to indicate not necessarily a friend flood but just that you guys were maybe doing a better job of promoting the fight than other folks. I don't think you crossed the line or anything, in my opinion, and I didn't mean to make it sound like it.

It didn't feel like it was directed at me, so no worries. As for the perennial friend-flooding discussion, it's bound to come up whenever new players join.

What pisses me off is I don't have to worry about winning or friend flooding.

I know this is a petty thing for me to continue to be bothered by, but I am still bothered by it.

Not only does your comment "Jerkatorium flexes their social media muscle again for the hat trick" imply that our 'Leave My Brother Alone' win was attributable to our ability to mobilize friends instead of the submission of a good song, it also reaches back to paint our previous wins with that same brush. If we weren't doing anything out of line, then I don't know why you felt the need to portray our wins that way.

Every time I navigate to the front page now, I see that comment that (to me) reads 'Jerkatorium won our formerly legit song competition three times in a row by turning it into a popularity contest.' I still don't believe that's accurate, and if it wasn't your intention to suggest that then why is the comment there?

I have removed "social media" from the summary. We don't have very objective way to tell what is going on with the votes, it's very subjective. I'm keeping an eye out for anything unusual. There may be some false positives.

Maybe "false positives" isn't the right phrase, since I didn't actually think you cheated. Whatever. If you think it's so simple, YOU be a fightmaster. :P I'm just trying to make sure everybody has a chance to win.

Thank you, I feel better already.

And no, I would not want to be fightmaster; I would be the worst fightmaster ever. Ever. I strongly and sincerely appreciate the effort and care you put into this site.
