SpinTunes 17 Round 2 RESULTS

Post by MicahSommer »

The Round 2 results are in, and the man who impressed the judges in Round 1 has done it again. Is this unprecedented in SpinTunes history? Maybe, but I don't have time to look it up. Either way, it's impressive. For the second time in a row, the round is won by Sober!

Cavedwellers snagged second place, and Also in Blue repeated last round's performance as well, finishing third again.

The following artists ranked below the cutoff and have been eliminated. Any of them who submit shadow entries for Round 3 will be eligible for shadow reinstatement if a qualifying competitor fails to meet the deadline:
Boy on the Wall
David G Harrington
Melody Klein
Governing Dynamics
Lucky Witch & the Righteous Ghost
Keen Observer
Dented Bento
Night Sky
Hot Pink Halo
Regis Michelena

I am absolutely blown away by this, thank you so much for all the reviews, and the time and effort put in to write them. Cybronica - The cello sound is actually an octave violin - and yes it’s me playing it. 🙂 Thank you for the vocal advice, I really value your expert guidance. Dave - apologies for any confusion in my song bio, I had written earlier on that the song was from Alice’s pov, but the part you saw was me explaining how the book itself was written. I was conscious that not everyone would be familiar with the book, or why Alice would be considered a secondary character. I’m chuffed to have landed on your favourite book - it’s one of mine too! Wil - I too wish I had the million pounds to have a full band backing me! Jocko - I’m delighted to have raised up in your estimation from the first round. “Sew” was a rather loose reference to making love, following the lyrical phrasing of having gone from Say to See, so wanting another S-word. Denise - thank you, thank you 🙏
