NUR EIN XIII - We Should - Lyrics
We Should (LW | RG)
We could find some cash in the street
We could buy a lottery ticket
We could maybe double our money
If you think you want to risk it
We could buy a car with our winnings
We could drive it out to the sea
We could pay off our student loans
And put ourselves at ease
chorus (x2):
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
I think we should
We could invest in new tech
I got some ideas in my head
We could find an inventor
To make machines to talk to the dead
We could make peace with our parents
We could tell them how we feel
We could find out ancient secrets
To inflict wounds that never heal
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
I think we should
bridge:
We could harness diabolical powers
We could make an unholy pact
We could show Karl Marx his nightmare
We could keep his dream intact
We could overrun the feds
With ghosts and ghouls and wailing banshees
We could save our friends from the hunger
Of ten billion zombies
Or we could go out to dinner
I’ll treat you to a dollar meal
And find another way to open
Hell’s demonic seal
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
We could, we could, we could, but should we?
I think we should
We could find some cash in the street
We could buy a lottery ticket
We could maybe double our money
If you think you want to risk it

"We Should" - Third Cat
secrets swallow the truth
hideaway stage
still we just can't find a way
to change our age
these plays we've all seen before
why bother anymore?
but then we glimpse the light
and for a moment
everything is clear
we know we should
be right here
you say you're tired of
doing nothing that's real
wish I could say I don't know
how you feel
these days are endlessly grey
wanna push it all away
until we glimpse the light
for a moment
everything is clear
we know we should be right here
we should be right here
secrets swallow the truth
hideaway stage
still we just can't find a way
to change our age
these plays we've all seen before
why bother anymore?
but then we glimpse the light
and for a moment

Re: NUR EIN XIII - We Should - Lyrics
(Vom Vorton)
seven days of summer to see seven hundred things
I can’t wait to find out what the morning brings
my mouth is dry and my eyeball stings
please wait an hour while this coffee restores my wings
seven thousand miles to be lazy somewhere new
what’s a broken tourist supposed to do?
and so I put this suggestion to you:
we should really row out to the island
this bar has a boat we can borrow
but we’ll probably sit here on the beach
and make plans for tomorrow
twenty (twenty twenty) four hours a day to fill
with new memories and new types of time to kill
I didn’t sleep and I’m feeling ill
please pass the water and the headache pills
three planes, four trains but the sky’s the same shade of blue
what’s a holidaymaker supposed to do?
and so I put this suggestion to you:
we should really row out to the island
this bar has a boat we can borrow
but we’ll probably sit here on the beach
and make plans for tomorrow
we should try to concentrate on the good times
not fill up our passports with sorrow
now lets sit on the beach
and plan to do better tomorrow

Ooh ooh ooh baby maybe
We should get together
Ooh ooh ooh baby maybe
We should we should we should
Saw you in the produce aisle at Foodland
Trying to shake open a green plastic bag
Your profile was all 60’s Marvel super heroine
I was filling water, had to turn away
I could see you saw me see you watching
I saw you hide your face behind your hair
I heard you walking quickly toward bananas
I turned around, you were no longer there
Maybe we could talk over tortillas
Maybe we could flirt in frozen foods
Ooh ooh ooh baby maybe
We should get together
Ooh ooh ooh baby maybe
We should make it better
Ooh ooh ooh baby maybe
We should get together
Ooh ooh ooh baby maybe
We should we should we should
We could sit on rolls of paper towels
We could stare deeply in each others eyes
We could feed each other huli chicken
And tell each other all the same old lies

I looked for you in all the aisles but you were gone
I’d like to ring you but it would be wrong

WE SHOULD
- Owl Chemist
This don't seem right
Can I get another one
There's plenty more where that came from
Throw it away
Throw it away
The world is too much with us*
Anyway
These days
Dead rat in the alleyway, he’s seen better days
Gorged on a putrified discarded creme brûlée
The North Pacific Gyre’s coping less well than it could
Nano plastic plankton provides piss-poor turtle food
got my iPhone x, 8 , 7, 6, 5 4 and 3
with dioxin, cadmium lead and mercury
keep it up to date boys
spread the wealth around
buy it bin replace it
then stick it in the ground
Do we leave it to the next generation to clean it up?
Or do the bastards responsible come on, and step up?
Somebody better clean this up
Maybe we should?
The filthy bastards who made this mess should clean it up
So we should. We fucking should.
The filthy bastards who made this mess should clean it up

Nick Soma - We Should
featuring Cookie Blue on scissors, clip machine, frying pan, hairdryer, tea cup and box grater
This song is from the point of view of a person with a mental illness, something along the lines of schizophrenia. His thoughts, disjointed at first, build towards a more concrete idea, before he sinks into resignation in the end.
We should hover slightly above ground
We should walk a banana through town *
Make no concession to those putting us down
We should paint the police station brown
We should set this piñata on fire
We should cut through the telephone wire
No longer scared, now we're thirteen steps higher
We should never ever deny our desire
We should ignore those who label us strange
We should discard the idea we must change
Why do we care if they say we're deranged
We'll be the ones who will blow up the grange
We should unite so they can't do us harm
We should stand strong til they all bought the farm
Fight for our rights so that we can bear arms
And if we can't, we will kill with our charms
We should reinstate, to make this really clear,
We should give credit to voices we hear
In the back of our heads, so meekly they hide
We should prefer those to the voices outside
We should become the majority, so
That we can make true all in theory we know
We should make our community grow
We should be stealing their sad little show
They should be worried if they think they are
Righteous and normal, the day is not far
We should call crazy those who now are not
They'll be a few only, but we'll be a lot
We should be able to do all of this
We really should, honey, give me a kiss
Instead of relying on doctors and meds
And being confined to hospital beds
--------------------------------------------------------
* Yes, this is a stupid line. It was the first line that came to me, and here's the back story: I remember a friend I once had in school told me that if you were scared all the time of what others might think about you, then you had to fight the fear... by walking a banana through town, on a leash, like a dog. She actually really wanted me to do that with her. We never did, but thank you C. for the inspiration.

We Should - Carlo Bruno Jr.
We should put a finish line, this race seems over
We should try to predict when the machine will fail
Yes, we should
Our best moments were behind
Or in a corner of our minds
If we prefer to remember
Then we should be scared of seeing us swimming in tears
You will ask me to find those silver scissors that you gave me I do not know why
And you will ask me, ask me to cut
Our best moments were behind
Or in a corner of our minds
If we prefer to remember
Then we should be scared of seeing us swimming in tears
It's a sunny day
We should not allow ourselves to cry
We should...
We should put a finish line, this race seems over
We should try to predict when the machine will fail
Yes, we should

We Should - Mandibles
I don’t know what happening,
When you’re around I feel serene,
Like every care or worry has just melted away;
I’ve never felt this way before;
It’s like you opened up a door
That wasn’t even there just yesterday.
Should we ask where this is going?
Or Should we stumble blindly knowing
That at any moment our hearts could break?
Should we give our hearts completely?
Give our love so indiscreetly?
When the hour comes, from this dreaming should we wake?
Should we make the love we’re terrified to make?
When I hear your voice whisper my name
There’s something off- it’s not the same
As every other utterance of those three syllables;
It sounds a magic majesty
of Pure methodic melody
Whose flowing sense of harmony is undistillable.
Should we ask where this is going?
Or Should we stumble blindly knowing
That at any moment our hearts could break?
Should we look before we’re leaping
Since the playing is for keeping?
Should we make sure this won’t be a huge mistake?
Should we make the love we’re terrified to make?
When you’re around the world goes soft,
It falls away, and held aloft
Our spirits seek and find each other’s tender searching touch;
The chills start running down my spine
The moment when our forms align
And every sense is screaming, “is this pleasure too much?”
The touch of your hand
Is all that I can
Bear to withstand
Before pulling you closer;
The fire that you light
When we’re tucked out of sight
Fills me me with awful delight
Come on darling come closer....
Should we ask where this is going?
Or Should we stumble blindly knowing
That at any moment our hearts could break?
Should we be the ones to stand where no one stood?
Oh, yes, we should, yes, we should, oh yes, we should...
Cause with you, my love, my heart will never break.
Let’s not ask where this is going,
Let’s just stumble blindly knowing
That any moment our hearts could break.
We’ll be the ones to stand where no one stood,
Cause with you, my love, my heart will never break.
Let’s make the love we’re terrified to make.

We Should
by Merisan
We burned down the temple
We should be more careful
It’s a bite from a snake
All our heads on a plate
A kiss of poison
For your enjoyment
With our best intentions
And the lightest touch
We spoil our inventions
By wanting too much
Does a man need pain?
His existence arcane
Paying the highest price
For our own demise
A kiss of poison
For your enjoyment
With our best intentions
And the lightest touch
We spoil our inventions
By wanting too much
This world we shattered
We should find shelter
The souls we crushed
Will rise from dust
A kiss of poison
For your enjoyment

Re: NUR EIN XIII - We Should - Lyrics
Featuring Sir Reginald, Duke of Pringles, Heir to the Pringles Fortune on the squeaker toy.
I have too much to do
I just can't spend time with you
i'm sorry little buddy
there's no time to play ball
i've got no time at all
what would you have me do?
I feel so neglectful
I just hope you understand
We should play we should play we should play
We should play we should play we should play
we should play
You should play with me
I'm on a serious quest
I need to do my best
I know it's not fair to you
A simple hour to me
Could be eternity
From the look on your face
I'll make it up to you someday
But I need this time to myself
We should play we should play we should play
We should play we should play we should play
we should play
You should play with me
I don't know what a song is
I don't know what a dog is
I don't know what work is
But i know that you're not fun
Let's eat hotdogs together
and enjoy this weather
I want to roll in the grass
But you're just sitting here, sitting here, why aren't you playing?
We should play we should play we should play
We should play we should play we should play

We Should
by Cavedwellers
Challenge: The guest playing household items is my son Django. We also have some guest vocals from my daughter Bella. For the sample groove Django hit a storage container for a kick, plucked a rubber band over a plastic battery box for the melody, and ripped a piece of duct tape for the snare. Then for the live stuff he got his drumsticks and played 2 different sizes of fans with metal cages.
1st Verse
I went to Europe
As an American
They’re nicer to you
If they think that you’re Canadian
I went along with their assumptions
Just trying to avoid conflict
Canadians don’t have my gumption
Now I see the benefits
Chorus
We want the world to conform to our crazy
We think it’s all kinds of good
We don’t believe that our leader has manic phases
But I guess we should
2nd verse
He's a disruptor
He makes the game change
Those helicopters
hover above the strange
I don’t think they have an agenda
They just want to gaslight him
Midnight tweets without a censor
Record thoughts thought on a whim
Chorus
Bridge
Try not to be intimidated
By the smartest guy in the room
His ego’s really not inflated
If speculations all come true
Chorus

He's a disruptor
He makes the game change
Those helicopters
hover above the strange
I don’t think they have an agenda
They just want to gaslight him
Midnight tweets without a censor
Record thoughts thought on a whim
Chorus
Bridge
Try not to be intimidated
By the smartest guy in the room
His ego’s really not inflated
If speculations all come true
Chorus
Phillipso, Older Brothers, Semolina Pilchards, Zipline , Thank Glennny for the Frisbee, The Odoriferous Valley, The Worldly Self Assurance, Berkeley Social Scene, Very Gentle Knives, Daddy Bop Swing Set, GUNS, The Kraken Lives, Cavedwellers

Re: NUR EIN XIII - We Should - Lyrics
going through the motions
day in and day out
the same bored faces
bicker and fight
the garden is a jungle
the house a mess
working day and night
was not a success
we should take a vacation
and go somewhere far away
we should lie in the sun
dreaming our troubles away
we can
swim in the pool
stroll through old towns
sleep on the beach
discover new grounds
walk through the hills
eat strange fruit
picnic on the green grass
the sky is bright blue
we should take a vacation
and go somewhere far away
we should lie in the sun
dreaming our troubles away
I don't care if we travel
by bus, train or plain
as long as we are together
preferably without rain
we should go on vacation
and go somewhere far away
we should lie in the sun
dreaming our troubles away
ooh vacation
I like to have it
the whole year long
ooh vacation
I like to have it
the whole year long
ooh vacation
I want to have it
the whole year long
all this work
day after day
I'm so frustrated
I want to go away
day in and day out
the same bored faces
bicker and fight
the garden is a jungle
the house a mess
working day and night
was not a success
we should take a vacation
and go somewhere far away
we should lie in the sun
dreaming our troubles away
