Something's Wrong
Pigfarmer Jr

I don't understand why you left me here alone
I don't understand what it is I did
Won't you please come home?

When you left you locked the door
Said that you'd be back
But you've been gone too long

I've been waiting all night through
Just want to be with you
But I think something's wrong

I don't understand, where could you be?
I need you here
I don't like to whine but I've got to go
I need something to eat

When you left you locked the door
Said that you'd be back
But I think something's wrong

Phlebia - Something's Wrong

Day after day they seem the same, the same stale air, it's such a shame
To resonate with the myth of Sisyphus in so damn many ways
To make a mountain out a of a hill, a gaping chasm from a hollow
Fill your reservoir with Chinese water torture

And when I look into your face, I see malaise, illusory smile lines
And lost potential fading, sullen ennui prevailing
And everlasting disappointment, so intangible, so intractible
I wish the tides would recede and take your depression along with them

If there's a difference between you and I, it's yours goes inward, mine goes outward
I'm not talking about our sexes; rather how our fears manifest themselves
A subtle feeling of dread, radiates from the base of my head
And a rising sense that somewhere, something's going terribly wrong

Something's wrong (somewhere...somehow...)
Nothing's right (I find it difficult to explain it...)
Something's wrong (everywhere...every now...)
It's not alright (If only I could contain it...)

And so we plan our escape -- distractions found in glowing pixel screens
Our magic rectangles than show us what we please, when we please
A baseless effort to squeeze out one more tiny drop of dopamine
We're dislocated from our geography

Why do they call it fight or flight when neither is an option?
Why do our pulses race? Why do we feel debased?
Wandering mindless with no sense of place? Well in in any case,
If life's a race, we'd all be tripping on our shoelaces.

Something's wrong (somewhere...somehow)
Nothing's right (and the cause is so nebulous)
Something's wrong (right here...right now...)
It's not all right (this existential burden)

(we're born...we grow...we age...we fall...we die...)

Something's Wrong - Paco del Stinko

You stood over your sister while she slept
Naked and holding a knife
If your parents hadn't come home
Would you have taken her life

Bless the cars as they pass
From the corner all day long
God talks through your radio
Even though it's not turned on

Something's wrong (something's wrong)
Something is wrong (something's wrong)
Something's wrong (something)
And it won't get gone

Eating raw bacon with whiskey
While you walk the length of the river
Yelling to nobody there
And a stare that gives you shivers

Something's wrong (something's wrong)
Something is wrong (something's wrong)
Something's wrong (something)
And it won't get gone

You came from polo country
And your father put down your horse
And then you bludgeoned him dead (your own father)
You thought it the natural course (you thought it the natural course)
You thought it the natural course (you thought it the natural course)
You thought it the natural course
Something's wrong
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

VERSE 1
-------
Well I tried all the things that you told me
Even though yours is Phillips and mine is Sony

Yes I turned it off and on again, what do you take me for?
Some kind of idiooooot

Is it normal to hear a buzzing sound?
especially when I sneeze or turn around?

Should the room really be spinning round like that?
I just checked, and yes it's plugged into the back

CHORUS
----------------
Something's wrong
something is definitely wrong
I don't quite know what
So please stop asking me

Something is wrong

Do I need a doctor?
or the manufacturer
No-one seems to know

Do I need a doctor?
or the manufacturer
no-one is quite sure
apparently

VERSE 2
-------
Should I fully defrost the cat
before putting it in the microwave?

I think we should have turned left instead of right
yesterday

Is that toast, that I smell burning?
Or just a pain in my upper arm?

I HAVE been pressing the button but nothing's happening
it says "not found" HERE COMES THE GROUND!

CHORUS
----------------
Something's wrong
something is definitely wrong
I just don't know what
So please stop asking me

Something is wrong

Do I need a doctor?
or the manufacturer
No-one seems to know

Do I need a doctor?
or the manufacturer
yes that's the point of this song

VERSE 3
-------
spoilt blond babies are leading us to ruin
egging on the far right wing

look at the silly men with their silly hair
oh it's such a joke until it all ends in war...

Millions of homeless and the rich still getting richer
The internet is turning everyone against each other
Everyone has shown that they will believe utter nonsense
and do nothing about it while they've got their entertainment...

OUTRO
But Anywaaaaaaaayyyyy
But Anywaaaaaaaayyyyy
But Anywaaaaaaaayyyyy
But Anywaaaaaaaayyyyy

Let's talk about, let's talk about
anything else
Let's talk about, let's talk about
anything else

| D7 | Am, F#dim | D7 | Cmaj7, D7| (x4)

Pre-Verse -5/8
| Bm | D7,Em | D7, Em | D7, Em | (x2)

Verse 1-9/4

|Em, G, Em, Bm, D7| (x4)

Wandering through possibility
You take a clue and try to look at me
You’re welcome to my fantasy
Someday soon it’ll mean to be

Pre-chorus 1-9/8
| CCCDCCCCDCD | (x8)

Then as the wind blows
You are my silly little obsession
So go the clouds on it
I find it hard to make an earnest confession
Nothing can come of it

CHORUS -7/8

| G, Bm | D, Bm | (x4)

Uh Oh, something’s wrong
I can not follow along
She’s either crazy or I’m dumb

Post-Chorus 5/8
| C, D | (x4)

Pre-Verse -5/8

Verse 2- 9/4
Taking time to give up the fight
A sharp decline in the air tonight
Throwing shade on the awful white
I lost the grip and then found the bite

Pre-chorus 2-9/8
Then when the ground shakes
I make the heady riddle connection
Out in the cold sober
I want the earliest possible detection
Taking my turn over

CHORUS -7/8
Oh No!, something’s wrong
I can not follow along
She may be crazy, but I’m dumb

Post-Chorus 5/8

Solo- 5/8
|Am, C| D, Em | D, Em | D, Em | (x4)

Intro-7/8

Pre-chorus 3-9/8
Deep in the ocean
We come to the inevitable conclusion
Swimming against current
We keep on mixing up the solution
It’s not a deterrent

CHORUS 7/8

Oh No!, something’s wrong
I can not follow along
She may be crazy, but I’m dumb

Something's Wrong by Vom Vorton

We're on the edge right now
Pissing from the precipice
watching crystals drift into the void
And in the hedge just now
I swear I heard some sparrows
Singing Sabbath's "Paranoid"

Oh no
Something's Wrong
Something maybe can be fixed
But we don't have long
Oh no
Something's Wrong
Something’s Wrong.

We’ve got to pick the car park
where our cars will stay
for the rest of time
So we can watch the weeds grow
through the engines
Through the grease and grime

Oh no
Something's Wrong
Something maybe can be fixed
But we don't have very long
Oh no
Something's Wrong
Something’s Wrong.

Oh no
Something's destroyed
Something that we used to love
cast into the void
Oh no
something’s wrong
something’s wrong

Brown Word and the Big Whine - Something's Wrong

Fish are swimming backwards upstream
Birds are falling down from the trees
Lighting striking twice and thrice and four times
Lions, tigers, bears running blind

Oh can't you feel it - something's wrong
It's everloving chaos, the earth is standing still
Nothing is way it was, today's a living hell

Sun is black and fire's cold as ice
Arctic boils, the deserts turn to glass
All your yesterdays cease to be
Ripping your face pain is ecstacy
The floor is lava, air is gasoline
I'd say it was the rapture but you're still here with me

Oh can't you feel it - something's wrong
It's everloving chaos, the earth is standing still
Nothing is way it was, today's a living hell
YYYYYeeeeeaaaaahhhhh boy, I tell ya!

Something's Wrong
miscellaneous owl

Down in the canyon, the summer birds all sing
My dad and his friend take my arms and swing me way up high
And for a moment there I feel like I can fly

Swing, swing, I swing a little higher
Sing, sing, I toss my voice up towards the moon
It rises in a sharp and wordless tune
As my elbow separates and I feel the dislocation
I feel the dislocation
Something's wrong

But my dad says it's OK
And my mom says, no need to cry
Something's wrong, but I know
They can fix it, just give it time
When things are bad, they'll make it better
The big lesson of '85:
Things break, but not forever
They'll put it back together, and I'll be fine

I found a speckled robin's egg, blue as the sky
My friend wants to hold it, then she starts to toss it way up high
And now the sunny yellow yolk looks like an eye

But my dad says it's OK
And my mom says, no need to cry
Something's wrong, but I know
They can fix it, just give it time
When things are bad, they'll make it better
The big lesson of '85:
Things break, but not forever
They'll put it back together, and I'll be fine

Now the house is filled with boxes that I can hide inside
We're packing up, the two of us, just my mom and I, I'm not sure why
But now we're driving and we've left my dad behind
Did they even try?

But my dad says it's OK
And my mom says, no need to cry
Something's wrong, but I know
They can fix it, just give it time
When things are bad, they'll make it better
The big lesson of '85:
Things break, but not forever
They'll put it back together, and I'll be fine
Things break, but not forever
They'll put it back together, and I'll be fine

Something's Wrong - Hot Pink Halo

***

Dear Governor-General
I've watched from afar
As the tragedy back home
Unfolds

We know to expect flames
But something is wrong
And I lay blame squarely
On the government's shoulders

Dear Governor-General
I cried back in May
As a billionaire bought
The election

I walked streets lined with posters
That denied climate change
All in the name of
Economic protection

My country is burning
And I'd like to fire
The government

Dear Governor-General
I am filled with rage
It's searing white hot in
My core

I do what I can and I
Try to stay positive
But they're stealing our futures
And each day they take more

Dear Governor-General
They lie and they spin
As they grasp at the tendrils
Of power

One day they will fall and
I hope that it's now
As ash rains from above
And the land is devoured

My country is burning
And I'd like to fire
The government

Dear Governor-General I ask this of you
As they bring shame and blacken our reputation
Please do what you can to do right right now
Waltz Matilda along so we can rebuild the nation

My country is burning
And I'd like to fire
The government

My country is burning
And I'd like to fire
The government

Dear Governor-General
Devil’s got me Lindt! Devil’s got me Lindt!

I heard you got a brand new job, house out on the cape.
Screaming deal one of a kind, fun winter escape.

But something’s wrong, something’s wrong, something’s wrong
Yah wrong.

Your GDP is off the charts, the market’s set to pop
Things have never been this good, and it may never stop.

But something’s wrong, something’s wrong, something’s wrong
Yah wrong.

Yah its never quite the same alone.
Yah its never quite the same alone.

They ask too much you push away, and never trust a sole.
You lock yourself behind a wall and slowly lose your soul.

But something’s wrong, something’s wrong, something’s wrong
Yah wrong.

Yah its never quite the same alone.
Yah its never quite the same alone.

Something's Wrong

I’m not wearing any clothes
Except for a hat and coat
Sometimes I’m big, sometimes small
I don’t have nipples or balls
I’m always horny
I’m always singing
I’m in the bedroom
Tearing up pillows
Everything has a human face
Everyone is covered in hair
Everyone is licking themselves
Every kitchen is a dancehall
We all have different lumps
We still lick fishbones
We lost 100 million bucks
And still we shake our butts

Humans are all cockroaches
I shall eat every one
Hell is just a dusty barge
Not as bad as the burlap sack
You must meet every one of us
For five minutes at a time
We’ll hop and scream in your face
Then step off to the side
We have a new word to teach
To repeat until you die
We have some cheesy 80‘s synth
To pulverize your mind
We’re always speaking gibberish
And rolling in the trash
We’re always airing out our groins
And wiggling our ass
"perhaps the most offensive and disturbing image I've ever heard in a song" - Hans Gruber
