Did you forget
To wet the head
Of your digipet? Well now it is dead.
Too late for vet -
Don't get upset;
Your digital pet has starved to death.
Digi digi digital pet.
Cut off from the internet, it
Could not digest, well, who would've guessed?
Digi digi digi digital dead!
Now it is dead
You're left depressed,
Consumed by regret, you're as low as you get.
But don't get stressed
A horrible mess,
Yes but don't forget - you can always request
Digi digi digital pet
Fresh from off the internet, it
Could not guess at your guests' deaths
Digi digi digital dead
You can select
Another dumb pet,
Ignore your neglect and hope for the best.
Gonna invest
In a new pet's
Digital death so I guess that i'm next.
Digi digi digital pet.
Digi digi digital pet.
Could not digest, who would've guessed?
Digi digi digi digital ...

Floating cars, life on Mars
Robot help around the home
Rocket packs, freeze dried snacks
Sheltered in a biodome
Holograms, cyber lambs
Androids dream the war’s are done
AI leaders, virtual Jesus
Distant worlds with different suns
A future that was promised
Speculative fiction
Everything grew in not out
Locked down behind encryption
I thought the stars would come to us
That we’d all be speaking Bocci
Tv sold me robot dogs
Not a dying tamagotchi

A simulation, a fantasy
Your life is in my hands, you depend on me
I try to keep you safe, but you’re in agony
What can I do when you cry with such urgency

You’re such a volatile invention
Always demanding my attention
Mesmerized in your dimension
You command me to take action
My accomplice, my paramour
You’re a constant companion, impossible to ignore
We’re always together now, who was I before
I’ll hold you in my hands for ever more
You’re such a volatile invention
Always demanding my attention
Mesmerized in your dimension
You command me to take action
A simulation, a fantasy
Your life is in my hands, you depend on me
Always together now, we’re a family
Who could have predicted this blasphemy

Digital Pet

In the wasteland where everything is dead
I found my best friend:
A dog with a cyborg head
But after two hundred years
His brain is broken and now
He's starting to forget
On a mission to see if we can find
A replacement for Rex's shattered mind
But if I change his CPU
Will he still be the dog I knew
Or otherwise?
I gotta to get my dog a new brain
Baby 'cause the one he's got don't work
Will my cyber dog be the same?
Maybe.
Will this hit me where it hurts?
I found a modem with a brand new microchip
And a surgeon who knew how to replace it
Rex'll open up his eyes
And though he doesn't recognize
We can connect
I gotta to get my dog a new brain
Baby 'cause the one he's got don't work
Will my cyber dog be the same?
Maybe.
Will this hit me where it hurts?
Hit me where it hurts.
