WE ARE PERFECT IN OUR DREAMS by Melvin

Is this all true?
I cannot tell
Visions of you
and you're looking well

We fly out your front door
I used to live here
I don't any more

We're perfect in our dreams
So when morning comes please don't wake me

Above the trees
Dreaming of you
Over the sea
If you only knew

The sky is clear and bright
Back on the ground
nothing is right
but it feels so true

We're perfect in our dreams
So when morning comes please don't wake me

It won't be long
Before night is gone
Before we are gone

But for now we're still perfect in our dreams
So when morning comes please don't wake me
hi!

We Are Perfect In Our Dreams - Jeff Travis Henderson

As the years slip away
All we have is the truth
It gets easier to say
But it gets harder to prove

We are perfect in our dreams
Happier than we seem

The whole world is depressed
The entire planet is blue
What we need is some rest
To change our point of view

We are perfect in our dreams
Happier than we seem

Yester/day/light/saber/tooth/brush/fire/fighter/pilot
Things change for the strange in our brains after we close our eyelids
Pilot/program/head/stone/cold/play/boy/scout/oath
I swear once knew something and something else but we forgot both

Every night in our dreams
We get pieces of proof
We don't know what it means
We just know it's the truth

We are perfect in our dreams

Those Meddling Kids - we are perfect in our dreams

I don't talk about her much
but she sometimes pops up in songs
and we sit and we talk
though I'm talking to myself
even when I'm being kept alive by machines
we are perfect in our dreams
whatever perfect means

electric lights glare through
our chambers and streets
but the darkness in our hearts remains
Freud and Jung shine a lantern on the sign
and it reads 'neglect and imbalance'

(i gotta post my lyrics cause the tone of my vocals in the mix i submitted is sorta hard to understand)

Wake up from the radio song
in my dreams i sung along
and now that im up i think of you from
all our dreams we'll make it true

when its night ill go to sleep
so i can dream and think of you
hoping for another song
that we can dance to from the alarm

Its just a sole gone from a shoe but
when it comes down to it, you know i need you
our hearts are stronger than tractor beams
cause we are perfect in our dreams

when its night the lights are dead
you go lay down and rest your head
hoping for another song
that we can dance to from the alarm

Its just a sole gone from a shoe but
when it comes down to it, you know i need you
our hearts are stronger than tractor beams
cause we are perfect in our dreams

shakes
claps
ahhs...

We Are Perfect In Our Dreams
by Truth and Regret
----------------------------

Verse 1
-------
You walked away
I can still remember how cold I felt
You took away
all my confidence and trust
Remember the day
that I boarded up my heart?
Now I'm afraid
that I will fall apart

Verse 2
-------
Now I hang
my feeble eyes to weep
instead I lay
my tired head to sleep
I dream of sky
rising higher than the clouds
I can fly
climbing high and proud

Chorus
------
We are perfect in our dreams
Flying high but without wings
the horizon stretches onward
We are perfect in our dreams
Flying high but without wings
We have but to close our eyes

Bridge
------
I close my eyes and find you there
this sleep is my escape
running away from the truth

Chorus repeats and fades

We Are Perfect in Our Dreams
by Basket of Hands

We are perfect in our dreams, but
when we open our eyes it's a whole different scene.

I grab the microphone, Rone, you know you have been double-spent.
Why you look there stunned like it's the first time you chewed bubblemint?
I'm running now, gunning with my words spit like bullets.
I could take you out from here and not have to use a full clip.
In fact I take you out like you were Al Capone, but
I don't need a tommy gun cuz I'm Sergio Leone.
I leave your boots smoking people like "what was that?"
Then I light a cigar and I tip my hat.

Dropping n-bombs in the rhyme race like it makes you run faster.
Now you realize why everyone calls you the master.
You're a culture vulture, Presley back from the grave.
Well I'm st. Fucking Luke and here's my gospel that saves.
So sit down in the pew till your ass falls asleep,
and pray to the Lord for your soul to keep.
He takes calls from punkasses like you all the time,
but when you give him a ring it's best not to rhyme.

PiGPEN's nothing but a juvenile prick,
thinks his rhymes are funny but they're just sick.
Throwing out lines a first-grader could write.
He's trying to be a rapper, but all he is is white.
New Orleans has a bit of a catastrophe,
and PiGPEN thinks, "This is great for me!"
1000 people dead so I'll rap a little bit about
fuckin' dead bodies to show off my wit.
Now PiGPEN, I think it's already been said,
but don't you think there's something little wrong with your head?
Maybe you don't like it, but it's time for you to face it:
PiGPEN, you're a fucking racist.

Rone Rivendale on the other hand,
is the sort of guy I'd like in my band.
He's about the nicest rapper you ever could meet.
Too bad the man can't keep a simple beat.
I guess I wouldn't really want Rone on the kit,
the kid straight up wouldn't know when to hit.
And I doubt Rone plays a mean guitar,
but those are the only reasons he ain't a rockstar.
Those and the fact that the man sounds dead,
his EKG scans are all in the red.
But other than that the guy is great,
so peace and love and remember: don't hate.

We are perfect in our dreams, but
when we open our eyes it's a whole different scene.

what's happening in my life
i'd like to get away, i'd like
to hide inside of you

we are perfect in our dreams
of purest faith and ample means
a quiet society

no distractions, no despair
ascend towards light by jacob's stairs
an end to dull affairs

ba ba ba (ad infinitum)

second verse repeated

we are perfect in our dreams (ad infinitum)
hopelessly amateur, yet naive

We are Perfect in Our Dreams - Tim Hinkle

boy in the mirror with a cheap guitar
playing for toothpaste and an Ivory bar
but in my mind’s eye I’m a superstar on the TV
girls line up—you know they just can’t wait
to meet me, touch my hair, they think I’m great
I see them smiling as I masturbate in the toilet

now I’m running late for work again, again
now is clearly not the time—oh but when, when?

we are perfect in our dreams
meet with success in all our schemes
and at our feet life’s treasure gleams, ripe for taking
but our everyday life demeans
all of those grand and noble scenes
from time spent curled up with our should-have-beens before waking
