Tyson's Corner

Tyson's Corner
by Thank Glennny for the Frisbee

Verse One

I'll be there when you're gone
you will be here to watch the setting sun
never in the same spot
looking for you, you look for me too
Take a look around this empty road and start again
Double back, retrace your steps and we might meet again

Chorus

You may feel lost out there
You don't know where to turn
As long as you remember
that for you my heart will burn
your silhoutte escapes me
everywhere I go
for now I'll just rest my weary bones
at Tyson's corner

Verse Two

Never will be caught
leaving a clue
The old informs the new.
Makes me think and doubt
that all we had was held within.
Double down and split your cards
and you might finally win

Pre-Chorus

All this effort taking up so much time
tell me if this punishment fits the crime

Chorus

Tyson’s Corner

Verse 1

Here we go again with another tired argument
We’re too old to ever change our minds
You’re not fooling anyone
Its over as its begun
The same old conclusion
The pot-stirrers had their fun

Chorus

Hold the phone
I’m talking with Kip Thorne or
Leaving it Alone
Adjourning with the joiners
Gravity
Has drawn me to the center
Discovery
Is different than invention
The question posed
Made you a verbal dancer
You shouldn’t ask
If you can’t handle the answer
Things can change
And Pluto has its mourners
As for me
I’ll stick in Tyson’s corner

Verse 2

You should know my friend there’s only so much you can reinvent
We’re close to know where we are blind
Like Arthur and Camelot
We’re known for what we forgot
And doubting what we’ve been taught
The fight is forever fought

Chorus

Tyson's Corner -- by The Numan League
=========================

==CHORUS==
To rule the world, all we need is patience
Watch the days blur as we dance
To rule the world all we need is patience
Boys and girls together
Watch us dancing

==VERSE 2==
Cherry lipstick on your tongue
Tear-stained faces, carefully designed
Adolescent alien mind
Gotta get it while you’re young

==CHORUS==

==BRIDGE==
Mother does not care
Father is never fair
A hundred million feet
Moving to the eternal beat

==VERSE 2==
Have you been listening?
The Earth will turn, the sun will rise
And you will fade away

==CHORUS==

(Instrumental track can be found on my newgrounds)

-=LEAD IN=-
I train, for strength and might.
I train, to reach the height.
I train, and all i need is one night
to win the fight. Tyson's corner in my sight.

-=VERSE 1=-
When I was a kid, I was my biggest supporter.
Grew into disorder and became a performer.
Former villain turned warmer, you could say a transformer,
kept my life moving forward.

Punch me right in the chest'f I ever think about rest
because as you can guess I'm destined to be the best.
Minor, major circuit. Winning like I'm possessed.
Causing cardiac arrest.

Run the streets of New York in sweats and a hoodie.
Though I'm just a rookie, I still got a left hookie.
Mac versus a bully. Unruly terror in green.
Leaving sores on your spleen. A lean fighting machine.

Torturing bodies harder, I've become an enforcer.
Beat me up like a martyr 'till I'm fighting no borders.
I am strong without armor. Dropping bombs with no quarter.
Now, I'm fighting no genre. Sight's on Mike Tyson's corner.

-=VERSE 2=-
I put the Great Tiger's teeth on the floor
and when I'm done with Glass Joe, there's gonna be two more.
When Don Flamenco sways to and fro
and lands face down in a TKO, I go

up to the mic and raise my hands in the sky
and yell, "I'm the greatest fighter alive!"
I got hard life on my left and my right.
I be like, hide your kids hide your wives.

The world stops when I walk through the door
the bass drops ladies dancing galore
my mean face like I'm ready for war
but what the, what is a king hippo?

punching over and over dreaming warm bodies colder
bones become shock absorbers fists are my point of order
even though I am shorter I still fill you with horror
sight's on Mike Tyson's corner.

-=BRIDGE=-
Bald Bull knocked me flat on my ass.
I got his bald head buried under my grass.
Piston Honda got something against me.
So does Soda Popinski...

One by one the losers fell to the ground.
Mario counting down from ten until "you're out!"
Now I'm on top and I'm looking around
until I hear a sound.

-=VERSE 3=-
He's out. It's now him and me.
I put on my gloves and lace up my feet.
He blinks twice, then throws a punch.
I slice and dice. He tries to eat me for lunch.

Haymakers and hooks. I'm throwing my inventory.
He throws a similar story but he cannot ignore me.
Now my vision is blurry. Downright seeing starry.
Feel I'm losing my glory.

I shiver 'cause I'm smaller, more limber.
Uppercut to his liver, it connects like a winner
making his lights go dimmer. I hear somebody yell,
"Timber!"

Dust settling down around the mat and his shoulder.
Now that the fight is over look around and you wonder
Where to find Little Mac. Then you discover
see me standing alone over in Mike Tyson's corner.
