Reference Tracks

Post by Pigfarmer Jr »

Anyone want to share any reference tracks they use? I'd love to get a wide range of good ones and start using reference tracks in my mixing more consistently.

aside (A reference track is a good sounding (not necessarily well liked) commercial recording one compares their mix (or master) to in order to better balance the overall mix or sound. For instance, if you are mixing a pop song you could use a good sounding (to you) song to compare if your vocal was up front enough. etc.,)
