I’ve finally found a spelling mistake on a website that amuses me so much I can’t bring myself to tell them.
That's not the garden variety typo... or maybe it is.

Yesterday was the day! Finally had a new bow and a fresh set of strings delivered.

I ended up buying this absurdly inexpensive fiberglass bow from Thomann. So far it’s a huge step up from the wooden bow which came with my violin, which now feels remarkably brick-like in comparison. I’m getting a much better response with long bows, and it’s much easier to handle at either end. Now I just need to give it time to see if it holds up well physically.

Today I change my strings, which can be a bit of a pain in the arse. Apparently a lot of people take their violins to a professional to have the strings changed, but I’ve always done it myself. I’ve broken the G string enough times (twice, to be exact) to know what I shouldn’t do by now...

I love that song. I generally hate to hear the same song over and over. That's one of the few songs I could listen to on repeat for hours. Really great version! Where is all the bass/low-end coming from though ... ? Is it the piano? I look at the center guy's fingers, it didn't look like they matched up with the bass notes I was hearing. But maybe I'm wrong.

I looked at the other cellists hands too, they also looked like they matched up with a melodic line, not a bass line, but, I'm definitely no expert.

The cellist on the right is very much playing bassline notes through most of it.
