I don't think that's the kind of "plug-in" that we're talking about here...

Haha, I know. But I didn't know where to put it and I didn't want to start a thread with such a short life.

These look like some very cool free VST Plug ins, including some cool tape simulations and EQs. Check it out:

Now, more than ever, I wish Logic supported VST plugins without the use of a (usually expensive) VST bridge. Damn them for using open, free, published standards like AudioUnit instead of the proprietary closed things that everyone actually uses!

Fortunately it looks like there's a free one which I'm going to have to try out now.

I wonder if a windows vst can be used on a Mac plugin host. Its just a fancy DLL so it would be possible, in theory.

Not plug-ins per se, but I figured I post here instead of cluttering the boards with a one-off new topic.

After a long hiatus from Sample Swap, I've discovered they have an amazing new selection of percussion samples, including some very interesting sets of full kits.

If you record your guitars direct and want to pretend it is coming out of a 4x12 speaker cabinet check out this crazy plugin:

http://www.two-notes.com/en/Two-Notes-P ... -FREE.html

Apparently it lets you move the mic around and hear the difference in placement. Pretty cool for free.

I love plugins like this. I'll report back with my opinion, because I've used an sm57 and 4X12 Marshall for my guitar for a billion years. I'm curious as to how close it is.

Thanks Ken. All of my best plugins came from either you or Cubase, lol. You and Cubase are now the BLT "sound". ;)

Free SonEQ 1.1

SonEQ is a digital equalizer that takes parts from some vintage gear and combine them in one. SonEQ has 3 bands, bass, middle and treble. Also, SonEQ has a pre-amp section.

I will check it out. I must say, it's great to see a company that almost gets it regarding torrents, but it's a bit silly for them to make you jump through several hoops to get to the download (spambot protection on a download link?) and then putting the torrent file itself inside a .zip. Who the hell does that?

Also, it appears that their torrent has no seeders so after all that I need to seek out their direct download link ANYWAY.

Tree Plug ins

Post by eggnogadam »

so I did a quick EYEBALL search and then a SEARCH function search.

Sorry if I missed it.

I use FLStudio and I have been looking for another ARP, either a VST or ... something. I sort of like the FL wav function arp effect but I want more/less control some times.

Can anyone else help a brotha out?
