There's a free LE version of Bias FX (guitar processor) VST&Standalone from Propellerheads. I'm pretty sure you don't need a Reason license to get this.

Oh hey friends long time no read. Lunkhead suggested I post up in here. I've started making plugins and they are all free (or donation). You can grab them from here:

https://itch.io/c/287492/sound-toys

One is for making sound from writing small programs (aka bytebeat), one lets you strum the frequency spectrum like a harp, and one is a random melody generator inspired by analog sequencers. I've got a few more planned, so keep an eye on that space if you are interested.

Looks like fun, can't wait to fire them up at home!

The break point in the copy is entertaining, too ;-)

I'm not sure I totally understand this, but it looks like a free VST sample player call Labs, which allows you to use free sample sets that include strings, pianos, and drums. Check it out and see what you think: https://www.spitfireaudio.com/labs/

This weekend you can get a free Waves plugin for dealing with sibilance. You just have to give them your email address.

Thanks for the reminder to grab that. I also suggest the CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter for $29.

Waves H-Comp hybrid compressor is currently free. Scroll down just a bit. I already have it, but have never used it. It turns out that I've purchased several Waves plugins but only like a couple. (To be fair, they have super cheap bundles sometimes.)

Thanks for the head's up! Two free Waves plugins in one weekend! I took advantage of the buy two get one free promotion to pick up the ADT (curious to try on vocals) and API 560 EQ (which I love on drums). When I checked out I got a code that will give anyone a 10% discount, please feel free to use it: https://www.waves.com/r/sy3k0e

Also, this reminded me that I purchased a couple of their plugins last year and was able to get them installed on my new laptop as well. I'm kind of excited to try out the new stuff on my next mix!

Helm, a free, open source, cross-platform softsynth. Works standalone or as a plugin. (I have used standalone, but haven't tried the plugin yet
personally)

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread or not before... but http://www.airwindows.com/ makes some pretty cool and useful free plugins. No fancy GUI stuff... but they tend to do what they're supposed to do. Worth taking a look at anyhow.

Previously I was determining my LUFS by just looking at what the ReplayGain output said from my mp3 encoding, which seems to not be a great way of doing it. So just now I found a free VST/AU that looks like it'll give you a better overview of what's happening dynamics-wise.

Sampleson PUSH one button synthesizer is free: https://sampleson.com/push-synthesizer.html

I picked up one of their other instruments (I think the Rhodes Bass) and have been on their mailing list ever since. They OFTEN have free instruments and big discounts on their products. Highly recommended in general.
