Ha. Looks very smashable...

Just an update, Hello Music's 15% off deal lasts all weekend.

And Sweetwater has a lot of good deals running all weekend too, while supplies last.

http://www.sweetwater.com/

I'm very curious about this Blue hand-built mic for only $199:

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Bluebird

They also have a GoPro Hero 4 Session with a 32GB memory card, for $299.

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GoProHero4Se

(Whoa, holy crap, the movie on this other GoPro product page http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GoProHero4Si is a local SF band that I've seen a bunch of times. Good for them. Weird, also this one, Ken knows this band, we saw them open for The Rentals: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GoProHero4Si )

Today's deal is a pair of Fostex PM0.4d monitor speakers for $180.

http://www.fostexinternational.com/docs ... 0.4d.shtml

Some folks here like fluffy I think have similar Fostex monitors and are happy with them, yes? I'm considering these as I was looking to downsize from my fairly large Event 20/20p monitors with stands/etc.

Yes, I absolutely love my pair of Fostex PM0.4n, and PM0.4d is the model that replaced it.

Stupid Deal of the Moment is an MXL V250 for $40. This mic usually costs $50, so you are actually saving a few bucks. Once you spend so little on this mic, you can then spend a few hundred making is sound really good:

http://www.oktavamodshop.com/product_in ... cts_id=225

or do the cheap mod as a stop gap measure:

Where are you seeing that price? There's a 20% off sale which brings it down to $219ish, and there's a few used/refurbished deals for under $199, but I'm not seeing anything to get $199 on that page.

Of course, if you're just looking for a cheap pair of 5" monitors, I'd consider the ones from Monoprice. $170 for the pair: http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=1 ... 1&format=2

Amazon is offering some chances to win signed memorabilia from various artists including signed guitars. You have to sign up to be spammed by them over email to enter.

http://www.amazon.com/b/?ie=UTF8&node=11535696011

Different items are being given away every day. Of particular note, in my opinion: on Friday they will be giving away guitars signed by Jeff Lynne, and by The Zombies.

Note, only the white speakers are $99. The 20% off only applies to "qualifying" items, but, it looks like those speakers do qualify.

Today's Stupid deal is the Tascam US-1200 for $80:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid

It looks like it's class compliant, so, should work ok even though it's an old interface. This would be a super cheap way for somebody to get an interface with 4 XLR inputs. It's also got two 1/4" inputs for line/instrument level recording. So you could have a few mics plugged in and a bass and a keyboard or something. I find having four inputs saves a lot of unplugging and plugging in time switching between mics and instruments.

It's also got a DSP and some built in effects but I'm not sure how usable those would be if they stop making drivers or software for newer OSes.

Today's stupid deal is a white 30' Fender coiled 1/4" cable for $10:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid

I see it for $20 on Amazon, so, half off. This is a long cable, and the coiled part is kind of cool if you're into the aesthetic of that. Some say coiled cords darken your tone a bit which may be helpful if you've got an overly bright guitar and/or amp, assuming it's true.

That must've been yesterday. Today the link shows me a "Korg Pitchblack Portable Polyphonic Tuner Black".
