Anyone using Lilypond for notation? I've lost all my hard-earned music calligraphy skills and my chicken-scratch looks uglier every year.

I've used it a couple of times. The output looks pretty spectacular.

I've been using Noteflight.com to do scores and it works reasonably well. I might have to check this out as well.

MuseScore is open source, cross-platform, and purportedly pretty good.

Holy crap that looks insane! I can understand an engraver maybe going that route if it produced really spectacular results (not really, actually), but we have graphic interfaces now. That's like coded typesetting before QuarkXpress. Very 80s. Early 80s.
