I know it's expensive, but I was hanging out with roommate and a client of his who is getting a record remastered, and they were talking about gear and cool things so I got drool on my computer today ...

Of course, I'm still lusting over this, since I demoed it my life has never been the same *deepdramaticsigh*

I think I can continue to survive without it. Probably. Maybe. :) ...Perhaps. :)

I use FXpansion's GURU for my drums. Good program. Evidently it's been phased out in favor of Geist. I can upgrade at a discounted price, maybe I should try a demo.
I also use some Native Instruments stuff. Reaktor, Massive, Guitar Rig. You'll hear these all over my SF tracks.

How do you use these things without a metronome? INCONCEIVABLE!
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

I have the first gen BFD. Unfortunately only BFD2 owners can get the free upgrade.

My next big DAW purchase will be something to help me with production and mastering like a pro. I have looked at and tried a few demos. But the more I dive into it, the more I'm realizing that even the best program with tons of pre-sets only does part of the job. Experience and learning is still required to do pro studio work. I read articles by respected engineers and experiment with their techniques. Funny how the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I am Rubato-dite, the Goddess of Alterna-tempos. Fear my swishy goodness.
