I had no idea what you were asking about, so I JFGI'd it, and learned that that's just another word for "beatboxing," albeit with a particular style.

Did you have an actual question about it beyond "does anyone do it?" Because there's been lots of beatboxing in the Song Fight archive.

Well, it's more than just beatboxing...though it can definitely be used that way. Konokol is also a way to verbally explain rhythms.

As I mentioned, I didn't know what it was, so I goo gyled it. That was one of the guys I saw. He seems to be well known for it. But I wanted to see a brown guy that likes curry do it, lol. No, but I wanted to really understand it and it's origin. Then I found this. He inspired me to do a scat bit in a traditional time sig.


Then that got me to these bad ass guys and it sealed it for me that I'm doing something in the style. Mine sucks, but it's still cool and different for me. I tried to tie it with my own style.
